Self introduction
Hey all, I'm an American citizen with a heavy interest in pure remote work. Currently saving up for a remote work laptop purely for work only. I'm working to live in Philippines with my new family. I'm interested in any remote work out there, freelance may be the most suitable like completing objectives, since Philippines sometimes has Wi-Fi outages here and there. I came from YouTube after watching Brett's videos. Any and all advice is welcome, I would even take classes in a vocational school if needed for the skills necessary for long term availability.

Know that freelance anything is going to be a tremendous constant pressure on your time. That, combined with already having family-related commitments, can gradually take a toll on your health and sanity. I understand that you need to do what you need to do sometimes to survive, but if you're going down this path, I'd try to also build another business on the side and eventually switch over to that once you get the engine running. And also, if you can't even afford to buy a laptop at this point, I'm assuming you're trying to relocate to a foreign country with zero savings. BAD idea. I'd advise you to build at least some sort of a safety net before doing that.

Any, as long as there's a replay available I can watch at my convenience rather than a specific predetermined time.

If my memory serves me right, Brett said he'd be organizing something like this in Chiang Mai (totally fine by me even if it's just a small-scale thing). Any news @Brett Dev ? Maybe wait for the burning season to be over, then I'm all for it!
Destination Thailand Visa or Digital Nomad Visa as it's being called?
I'm curious to know has anyone here successfully applied for this visa?

@Nathan Von Fumetti AFAIK you need to do it outside of Thailand.

@Nico Louw Apparently it's also for cooking classes and concerts? Not sure if they check attendance for those, and how would they even go about it? At the very least, they're going to check that you paid for the tickets though, I'm pretty sure about that.
What did you discover today?
Want to know something interesting about successful people? They don't just learn about their own industry. They learn about everything. Here's a simple habit that changed everything for me... Spend 15 minutes every day exploring something completely random. Something unrelated to your work. Something outside your world. Something that feels useless right now. Then write one line about what you discovered. That's it. Why? Because knowledge is like a map. One piece doesn't show you the route. Two pieces still leave you lost. But keep adding pieces... And suddenly you see paths nobody else can see. You spot shortcuts nobody else knows about. And that's where everything changes. That's how you find gold mines before anyone else even knows they exist. What did you discover today?

ADHD brains are naturally wired in the manner you describe without having to force it or dedicate extra effort to it. ๐Ÿ˜…

@Cinthia Racicot-hamelin Well, being specialized in one thing exclusively has massive drawbacks in my eyes. It often means you're left with no time to broaden your horizons and you're essentially a one-trick pony.
