Reposting this here because I originally posted it in the general section. Hello everyone! I’m a 55 y/o grandmother of four, and wife to my best friend of 26 years! I started this journey when perimenopause hit about 12 years ago with anxiety, depression and slow weight gain. Three years ago I discovered functional and food as medicine and I’ve enjoyed good success. I use commercial HRT pellets, no longer take anxiety or depression meds and feel 70% better, Now, I’m preparing for an active retirement and another 50 years of living! I need to get a handle on my insulin resistance without medication, get off the statin and build a stronger body and healthier lifestyle. I’m excited to work with Dr. Stephanie to complete the last few tweaks to reach my health goals

Oura Ring
Anyone using an Oura Ring? I started wearing one in Feb and its really interesting to see the data that it collects.... esp stress response and sleep

I’d also love to hear more about it since they are fairly expensive. I want to know if the cost is worth the data (I LOVE data) it provides. Is there a list of what is monitored and tracked? How accurate is the data when tested against traditional methods?
Blood sugar
Has anyone used a Lingo or other device to observe blood sugar throughout the day? If so, did you find it informative or helpful?

Hi Wendy! Yep! I used a two week monitor but when testing against my tried and true test strips the numbers were 5-10 pts lower but I didn’t feel different. I had to order mine from Europe because my physician wouldn’t prescribe the continuous monitoring system. I may try it again since getting control of my insulin resistance is a huge priority for me.

Thank you so much for this opportunity and the community. I’ve been navigating this essentially on my own for about 3 years with some weight loss success. Now I need to fine tune my overall health because I have a busy, active retirement planned for my next 50 years!
