🌋 Floor Is Lava Mobility Week
This week’s challenge is a weird one 😆 You have to do 1 different mobility stretch or position every day… But you are NOT allowed to do it on the ground. That means: • no floor pancake • no floor pike • no sitting stretches on the ground • no lying down and pretending that counts 👀 You have to find a way to do your mobility somewhere else. Examples: • on a couch • on stairs • on a chair • on a bench • at a desk • on a counter • hanging from something • anywhere random and creative ✅ The rules • Do 1 mobility stretch or position every day • It has to be a different one each day • You are not allowed to do it on the ground • Post it in the comments if you want extra points for creativity 😄 🎯 The goal The goal is to: • make mobility more fun • get you trying new positions • stop overthinking it • show that movement can happen anywhere 🏆 Bonus points Most random spot wins. So if you end up doing a hamstring stretch somewhere ridiculous, I want to see it 😂 👇 Comment below if you’re in, and tell me what stretch or position you think you’ll try first.

I'm in! Does it have to be a stretch or is movement also allowed? Stairs (since you mentioned it)! Does this count?
Spiderman Wall challenge
I had to try this crazy Spiderman Wall challenge the moment I saw it. I even changed it Spiderman friendly colours! I don't think I am as good as the others doing the challenge, but it was the first one that I instinctively felt like trying. Here is one of the instagram reels that I came across it: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DZz_5jUMJVJ/ , I cannot figure who posted it originally. Does anyone else want to try this out?

@Val Mercier thank you 😊
Free handstands
I dont know if we are allowed to ask questions and such but since it seems I can only post here, Ill give it a try. Today was the FIRST time I did a free handstand! I felt grass was the safest. As usually I always do them close to a wall out of fear. So today I did a bunch of cartwheels, then handstand to cartwheel. I didnt hold it but a couple seconds as I just wanted to feel safe with dismounts. I think next time I should try handstand to forward roll? Or what are other ways to bail thats controlled and safe if you overkick? I just dont want to fear hurting myself. I still have a ways to go to doing pike to handstand as I need to be stronger when I lean further over my shoulders to get my hips over my hands. As I need to use a wall behind my shoulders/head to help for now lol. Im just pretty happy I finally got away from a wall!! And was the first time since I hurt my rotator cuff that I went to a calisthenics park and my shoulder feels fine now! I just dont push it too much after that.

Awesome 😎 you can bail out of a handstand, which is similar to a cartwheel. You could do a forward till too. Another option is go into a backbend if your kick up pushes you over. The main thing is to get comfortable doing whatever it is.
Hi
Hi, i'm Sandra I'm 56, my sister has just been given a year to a year and a half to live at 48. I'll be the last family member left as a lot of my family have died of cancer or a heart attack at a young age. I have 3 grown up children. 2 small grandchildren and another on the way. I've started taking my health and life choices seriously. I have people who rely on me. I'm doing everything i can to make sure they still have me around.

Welcome to the community Sandra, wishing you all the best!
Pike push ups
I'm trying to get a float on these pike push ups, I think I need to stabalise the bent arm position at the bottom of the pike for better control maybe.

Nice pike push ups and fantastic floats! I think you just need to practice more with a bit of rest in between, that would give better control.
