This is cool. I can add this to my exercises that I already do with my occupational therapy. I think some of them we already do. Thank you for sharing.
Sometimes, One Small Step is Everything
We often talk about big goals, but today I want to focus on the quiet hero of the crochet world: the Single Crochet (SC). It’s the first "real" stitch most of us ever learn after the slip knot and chain. It’s short, it’s sturdy, and it’s reliable. While other stitches are flashy or lacy, the SC is the one that creates a fabric strong enough to hold its shape. The Sanctuary Perspective on the SC: 🧶The Power of Consistency: The SC is all about rhythm. It teaches your hands how to find a steady tension. When the world feels "wonky," there is something deeply grounding about the insert, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through cadence 🧶Building a Solid Wall: Because the SC is dense, it’s what we use when we need a project to be tough—like a warm hat or a sturdy bag. It reminds us that our "slow and steady" progress is actually building something incredibly strong. 🧶The Mental Reset: When a complex pattern has you feeling frazzled, coming back to a row of SC is like taking a deep, cleansing breath. It’s the "soft pants" of stitches. A Quick Thought for Today: If you’re feeling overwhelmed, don't worry about the complicated "trebles" of life. Just focus on the single step right in front of you. One loop at a time. Are you a fan of the simple SC, or do you find yourself rushing toward the "fancier" stitches? Drop a photo of your latest SC rows below—let’s celebrate that beautiful, sturdy texture! 👇 https://youtu.be/IEkcBWQJPPc?feature=shared

FROG IT & FORGET IT
It's Saturday my friends. It's the day to relax a moment then get things done, right? Wrong! Well, maybe we have a to do list, but we'll get to that in a bit. I'd like you to take a moment to reflect on the week past, take thos moments that felt overwhelming, frustrating or just plan out draining and "Frog" them. That right, just take then right out! Frog them to the point that the only signs if them that remain are the lesson in the mistake. Let's face it, every oops comes with a lesson. Now, breath.... 🌬 1 - deep and exhale the yucky (growl if it helps) 🌬 2 - deep but steady - let it go (let it go, hhmmm hhhmmm hhhmm ⬅️ thats humming the song BTW) 🌬 3 - slow and steady - inhale the lesson, exhale intension Now, tackle that to do list OR Take a few more minutes to chill 😎 Whichever feels right.

Happy Friday! Is it a "Keep it" or "Frog it" kind of day? 🍦🐸
It’s Friday, y’all! We’ve officially made it to the edge of the weekend. Have you found your flow with your Week 2 project yet, or is it currently giving you "technical difficulties"? Here is your Friday permission slip: If that project is not bringing you peace, go ahead and FROG IT. 🐸 Ripping back the yarn isn’t a failure; it’s a total "Save Game" reset. Think of it like a 90s Etch A Sketch—give it a little shake and start fresh. You aren't getting graded, there’s no final exam, and nobody is checking your tension with a magnifying glass. In the Sanctuary, we’re just here to declutter the mental "static" and maybe make something useful for YOU along the way. We value the "oopsies" just as much as the finished pieces, because that’s where the learning (and the laughs) happen. If you have to frog today, take three deep breaths, remember the yarn is just waiting for its "Main Character" moment, and keep going. Show us where you’re at! - Are you on a roll? 🧶 - Are you currently surrounded by a pile of "frogged" ramen yarn? 🍜 - Do you have a "Drunk Caterpillar" story to share? Drop a photo or a comment below—let’s celebrate the process together!

The First Experiment of 2026
Before we build big things, we have to get comfortable with the "unknown." This month, we are breaking the rules of "perfect" to find your unique tension and flow. The Hypothesis: “If I stop trying to make it perfect, will I actually enjoy the process more?” The Experiment Steps: The "Blind" Grab: Reach into your stash and pull out a yarn you’ve been "saving" or one that feels a bit intimidating. The Hook Swap: Choose a hook size that feels "wrong"—maybe a size too big for a lacy look, or a size too small for a dense fabric. Now, get to experimenting and tell us how it felt!
