✏️ Goal: Write a short diary entry in Japanese 🗒️ Focus: Past tense adjectives（〜かった / 〜だった） This week’s theme: Movies 🧠 Mini Lesson: Past Tense Adjectives In Japanese, adjectives change form to talk about the past. 🔵 い-adjectives Drop い → add かった Drop i → add katta すばらしい → すばらしかった (was wonderful) Subarashii → subarashikatta おいしい → おいしかった (was delicious) Oishii → oishikatta たのしい → たのしかった (was fun) Tanoahii → tanoshikatta 👉 You can end the sentence politely with です: すばらしかったです。 🟢 な-adjectives Add だった (or でした polite) Add datta or deshita きれい → きれいだったです／きれいでした Kirei → kirei datta desu. The costumes were amazing. 話はかんどうしました。 Hanashi wa kandō shimashita. The story was moving. その後、晩ごはんを食べました。 Sono ato, bangohan o tabemashita. After that, we ate dinner. うなぎがおいしかったです。 Unagi ga oishikatta desu.
