I took the DP-700 today and I passed! 🥳
Hey all, I took the DP-700 today and passed! I will write a proper post with my experiences when I get home later today, but I’ll say it’s definitely a thorough test of your skills! Look forward to now switching to thinking about how best to teach the content to all of you! 🙌🏽

Alerts are not triggering from Data Activator for Fabric Total CU % Usage reaches 50%, 60%
Hi @Will Needham , Happy New Year. Hope you are well. We know that Fabric Capacity CU alerts can be configured in Admin portal and our DBA has setup and it is working.. When I setup a Data Activator to trigger the alert for Total CU has reached 50%.. the alerts are not triggering.. Here are the steps I performed so far. 1. I have created alert in fabric capacity workspace 2. Here is the snippet of an alert . 3. Fabric capacity Semantic model refreshes 12 a.m every morning.

Thanks a lot for your response. Is there any way we can setup the fabric capacity metrics SM as direct lake.. does that help?. I heard alerts don't work yet for direct lake

Incremental Refresh for Dataflow Gen2 (Public Preview)

Fabric semantic model refresh
Hi Everyone, We have created a bunch of Fabric Semantic models. we are having errors while refreshing datasets. The error is - The scheduled refresh is cancelled because a new refresh is detected on the same database. Not sure what is the root cause of this.. Can anyone kindly advise. thanks

Hi Suresh, Thank you. Yes we have set both schedule refresh and direct lake enabled. We have migrated 6 datasets and all have the same configuration. Error appears only in 2 to 3 daatsets. Because every day production data needs to updated, so we have enabled the schedule refresh. Let me test for one of the dataset disable the direct lake. Thank you once again

Hi Sonia, thanks for your response. We are using pipelines to get the data from master lakehouse which is from SQL source and our bronze pipelines will get the data from master lake and transformation ( cleaning) and save the table in lakehouse_3e( first layer) and then we have one more lakehouse_da where all our silver tables are stored joining lakehouse_3e tables -- silver tables are connected to fabric semantic model and we build our power BI reports. Yesterday we could change the schedule refresh with 30 minutes of gap between each dataset. we could find no failures. we need to monitor for a while to see if it is a stable.
