šŸ’” Research Insight: The Conditions for Connection
Today's conversations across Skool gave us a lot to think about. When we asked community owners what makes a community thrive, very few talked about tactics. Instead, they described the conditions they believe make connection possible. Here's what kept coming up: šŸ’™Members helping one another. šŸ’™Feeling safe enough to ask questions. šŸ’™Leaders who stay in the conversation. šŸ’™Members answering each other's questions. šŸ’™Owners who lead with humility instead of pretending to have all the answers. One comment especially caught my attention. A community owner shared that she intentionally waits before answering questions so other members have the opportunity to respond first. As a former educator, that immediately made me think about the classroom. Great teachers don't always answer first. Sometimes they create space for students to learn from one another. I'm beginning to wonder if thriving communities work the same way. Maybe our job isn't to create engagement. Maybe our job is to create the conditions where engagement naturally happens.šŸ’™ šŸ”¬ Working Hypothesis The strongest communities may not be those with the most active owners. They may be the ones where members gradually become active participants in one another's growth. We'll keep testing that idea. Question for you: What have you done that helped members start interacting with each other instead of relying only on you?

Very interesting. I can see how that would work for sure. I think in the beginning we need to encourage the engagement a little. But waiting a minute to respond could be a good thing after everyone gets to know each other maybe via a live Q & A for fun type thing...getting to know you. Not a course thing.

@Donna Thornton thanks. 😊
Let's Welcome Kerrie! šŸŽ‰
Everyone, say hi to @Kerrie Wearing. Kerrie, you help women align their relationship with inner authority, spirit, and wealth, which is some of the deepest work there is, and you're growing your own community, the Sacred and Sassy Collective, around exactly that. You came in curious about the top spiritual communities on Skool too, so you're in the right place to study what's working while you build. We're so glad you're here. Make yourself at home! ā¤ļø

Welcome @Kerrie Wearing
ā˜€ļø Builder's Morning
Good morning, builders. šŸ’™ One thing has been on my mind this weekend. As many of you shared (BIG THANK YOU!) your SkoolMe results, a pattern began to emerge. The priority area for many of you wasn't engagement. It wasn't onboarding. It was Outcomes. That tells us something very important. Community builders aren't just looking for more conversations. They want to know their members are making real progress. And, so do we. As we begin our very first Community Research Study this week, we want to leave you with one thought. Healthy communities don't happen by accident. They grow through intentional decisions, one step at a time. This week, don't worry about improving everything. Instead, ask yourself: "What's one small change I could make that would help one member experience one meaningful win?" Small wins create momentum. Momentum creates progress. Progress creates outcomes. We're so excited to learn right alongside you. Have a wonderful Monday! Make it a good one! ā˜€ļø Builder's Reflection What is one meaningful win you'd love one of your members to experience this week?

I would like them to feel like the accomplished one small task that they've avoided. Which would give the confidence to know "they can do it."

@Donna Thornton Thanks. 🫶
Grab Some Popcorn- I'm Trying Something Crazy This Week on Skoolers
This is a big week. We're rolling up our sleeves to help you actually move on your Outcomes, and it starts today. Donna will be posting later this morning to walk you through Day 1. Here's the thing about experimentation. We can't ask you to take risks unless we're willing to take them ourselves. So I'm running a little experiment of my own this week, and you're the first to know about it. A bit of context. I don't post much on Skoolers, but I'm currently sitting at 903 out of 169,979 Skool owners on the All Time Leaderboard. That puts me inside the top one half of one percent, which isn't bad for someone who barely shows up. This week I'm changing that, and I'm setting some goals that are honestly a little wild: 1. 1- Really help 500+ Skoolers with specific, actionable advice. Not "love this" comments. Real help. 2. 2- Climb to #750 on the All Time Leaderboard. 3. 3- Get one of my daily posts pinned by Sam Ovens, the founder of Skool. 4. 4- Get one of my posts added to the "Gems" category, the best of the best on Skoolers. So how many of these will I actually hit? No idea. But you don't reach the stars by aiming for the ceiling. If you've got ideas, or you think I've lost my mind, drop them below. Let's experiment together. And to be clear, I'm not expecting any of you to do something this extreme. This one's on me. Grab some popcorn, sit back, and enjoy the show. Along the way, I'll drop some helpful tips for you on posting and interacting inside Skoolers. Consider it part of the experiment.

šŸ” Help Us Set Our Research Agenda
On Monday, we'll launch the very first Skoolology Community Research Study. šŸ™Œ Before we begin, I'd love your help. As educators, coaches, and community builders, we know the best learning starts with understanding where we are today. That's exactly what the SkoolMe Framework helps us do. If you haven't already, please take the SkoolMe Snapshot Assessment. It takes about 3 minutes. šŸ‘‰ https://skoolology.netlify.app/ When you're finished, reply with: 1ļøāƒ£ Your overall score 2ļøāƒ£ Your highest-priority area 3ļøāƒ£ One sentence about why you chose it The SkoolMe Framework looks at seven dimensions of a healthy community culture: āœ… Substance āœ… Kinship āœ… Onboarding āœ… Outcomes āœ… Leadership āœ… Money āœ… Engagement Your responses will help shape our research studies, live discussions, and resources over the coming months, so we're focusing on what matters most to you. I'm excited to see where we are today and, even more importantly, where we'll grow together. Let's build this together. šŸ’™
