Your mind will lie…
TAKING ACTION: ✅To wrap up our mindset week, what belief do you carry around that’s no longer serving you? Let’s share today. 🫶 ✅Crush your leg day workout today - workout in the comments! Did you know your brain will lie to you? Do you know why? It’s not because it’s trying to sabotage you. It isn’t trying to make you fail. It’s because 95% of your thoughts and actions stem from your subconscious mind. Things you learned when you were very young (between the ages of 4-7) are quite literally controlling you today—and you don’t even realize it. Even scarier, you don’t even REMEMBER most of the things you heard or learned during this timeframe, yet the memories are stored in your subconscious. 🤯 I know—it’s wild. But it’s true. 💯 Let’s look at a few examples of things that could be affecting your thoughts and actions today: 🧠 Your mom was always on a diet when you were young. You may not even remember this, but if she was, you’re likely affected by it today. 🧠 You heard things like, “Too much of that candy will make you fat.” 🧠 Or, “You’re not fat. You just have big bones.” 🧠 Or, “Oh, don’t worry. That’s just baby fat. You’ll grow out of it.” 🧠 Or, “If you lost just 5 lbs., that dress would fit perfectly.” Do any of these resonate with you? Again, it’s important to remember that you may not even recall moments like this, but if they occurred, your subconscious mind might be holding onto them. This is how your brain lies to you. You still believe these things even though they aren’t serving you anymore! The first step to overcoming negative thoughts is to realize they’re coming from your subconscious mind, and likely aren’t true—and when something isn’t true, it certainly doesn’t need to dictate your life. 💯

This is so true!! Even if i didn't hear any of these things, which I did, I still grew up with my Mama dieting, wanting her clothes to fit a certain way, constantly being self conscious about how she looked, etc. We model the example set for us by our parents.
Tuesday Eats!
TAKING ACTION: ✅New clients: If you’ve just hopped in and aren’t sure about participating in Feast Day tomorrow, comment below. Let’s discuss! Happy Tuesday…Today, we’re going to fuel our bodies with healthy fats (and protein, of course!) and burn through our glycogen stores, which helps our bodies burn more fat. Eating more healthy fats to burn fat sounds counterintuitive, but it’s quite the opposite. When your carbs are low and fats are high, your body is actually able to use fat for fuel. 💯 Tomorrow is our monthly Feast Day, where we consume 25% more nutrients (fats, carbs, fiber, protein). Our Feast Days are in place for a couple of different reasons. One reason is physiological. Eating more sometimes gives your metabolism a little more energy to work with and a slight boost. Another reason is psychological. Strategically eating more helps your mindset, which boosts your motivation, mood, and desire to keep pushing forward. ➡️ Speaking of mindset, we’re weaving that subject into this week’s focus. “Don't pretend to be what you're not; instead, pretend to be what you want to be…” ― Michael Bassey Johnson If you want change, you have to change. Start acting like who you want to become, and you will become that person. I can help coach you, but ultimately, you’re the creator of your future. The power is in your hands, and trust me, you are already powerful—it’s time to start acting like it. 💫 Copycat Chili's Shrimp Fajitas - Clean Eating Kitchen

Can't wait to try the fajita receipe. Currently not doing much cooking. Our AC went out and we have to get a new unit installed this week. Too hot to do much of anything, especially cook and heat up the kitchen!
Wrapping up mindset week
TAKING ACTION: ✅How has exercise changed your mindset? Have you noticed a difference since you began? Share with us below! We’re wrapping up our mindset week, and there’s one more topic I want to discuss—how exercise improves your mindset. At the most basic level, every time you choose to exercise or complete a workout, your brain gets healthier. Even better than that, every time you do a workout when you really don’t want to, your brain literally changes because you took a different route than it’s used to. When you do this over and over, your neural pathways change. When your neural pathways change—your life begins to change. 💯 According to the article below, studies find that it takes between six months and a year of regular, consistent exercise to reap the cognitive benefits. The good news is that it can be any form of exercise. If you can’t strength train or participate in high-intensity training, try walking! The point is to get moving and keep going. Your body and your brain will thank you for it! 👏 I know today is a rest & recovery day, but I encourage you to check out the article below to learn more about how exercise improves your brain health! ⬇️ Exercise can boost your memory and thinking skills - Harvard Health __________________________________________________ ‼️ Don’t forget to share your personal referral link with friends and family & invite them to the community! So it is sort of like reprogramming or training your brain to work out, like what you consistently eat, makes your body crave that, eat lots of sweets, you crave sweets. You are training your brain to crave exercise.

@Rachel Meeks how hard is it on your knees? I not only have a bad back, (I have had 5 back surgeries), but have also had knee replacement.
Fasting Day!!
TAKING ACTION: ✅As a reminder, if you are pregnant, nursing, or have another health issue that doesn’t allow for fasting, you should not participate today. If you’re a new client and unsure about today’s fast, comment below Once again, it’s all about mindset this week—and lucky for you, participating in a 24-hour fast can indeed improve your mindset. Here’s how ⬇️ A 24-hour fast can support brain health by promoting processes linked to cellular cleanup (including autophagy), which is associated with clearer thinking. Mentally, it builds resilience and self-regulation by giving you deliberate practice in tolerating hunger and delaying gratification without constant food cues. Many people also notice a temporary reduction in food-related mental chatter and a stronger sense of mastery afterward, which can reinforce a more flexible, less reactive relationship with eating the rest of the month. 🧠 Helpful tips below to help navigate today’s fast ⬇️ 🍽 Drink plenty of water and be prepared to drink more than you think you need.💦 🍽 Be sure not to exceed 50 liquid calories; otherwise, you are at risk of breaking your fast. You can also drink black coffee, unsweetened tea, hot tea, our Hydration, Creatine, Collagen, or BCAAs. ☕️ 🍽 Keep yourself busy today and remind yourself of why you’re doing this. Fasting is not happening TO us. It is happening FOR us. 🍽 Fast as long as you can, but always listen to your body. Anything over 12 hours is beneficial! 🍽 Rest today or participate in a recovery workout in the app. It is important not to deplete your energy today. 🍽 Break your fast this evening with something light yet evenly balanced in nutrients. 🍽 Always consult with your doctor before fasting if you have any health issues or are on any medications.

I tried and almost made it to the 12 hour mark. I started feeling sick and had one of my migraine headaches. I will do better next time.
