Writing the Book vs. Building the Website: What Comes First?
Can anyone share their experience? 🙂 Did you write your book before creating your website, or create the website before writing the book? 🤔

I would work on the book first, but also what is the plan for your book. Are you planning to build a brand? or have multiple different types of books? Are you selling on your website? I wrote my book and while it was being illustrated the first time (I changed illustrators because the original one wasn't working) I worked on my website. Most of it right now is hidden because it will launch when the book is launched but I have a landing page, and everything on the backend is almost ready to go when I do launch. However I plan to sell from my own website and I built with Shopify, but that is what I do for a living anyways is make ecommerce websites for others, so it was quite easy for me, though Shopify is quite easy platform compared to making a Wordpress one.

Hi my name is Shelly, I am from Canada but have been living in South East Asia for over 11 years. I am currently working on my first book in a series about a cat named Cosmos who travels the world.
