Marketing Made the Difference For My Book
Just wanted to share a quick experience. For a long time I struggled with visibility great book, very little traction. When I finally invested in real marketing support, things changed: - my audience started growing - my message became clearer - opportunities started showing up Big reminder: writing the book is only half the work. Momentum matters. If you’d like support with this, she’s the one who helped me, and I highly recommend her. You can reach her here: carolineharperliteracy@gmail.com

do you have to pay a fee to be on BookSirens?
Writers
✍️ Writers, I’m curious what part of writing do you love the most… and what part do you secretly dread? For me, I love the creative rush of starting a new story but editing? That’s where I start bargaining with the universe. 😅 How about you?

I love creating mindmaps at the beginning of the creative process, when the rush of ideas spring forth.
📚 Quick question for fellow kidlit authors…
What’s one thing you wish you’d known before publishing your first children’s book? I’m deep in the trenches right now—writing, revising, overthinking page turns, and realizing that kidlit isn’t “easy”… it’s precise. Every word has a job. Every illustration cue matters. No fluff allowed. I’m here because I genuinely want to grow alongside other authors, not just lurk quietly. I believe the fastest growth in kidlit happens when we: - Share real lessons (not just highlight reels) - Talk honestly about what didn’t work - Support each other like colleagues, not competitors So I’ll start 👇One thing I’ve learned so far: Clarity beats clever every time, especially for kids. Your turn. Drop one lesson, mistake, or insight you’ve picked up on your kidlit journey. Let’s build something solid here.

My first children's book was published with a small professional Publisher, I made the mistake of signing a 5 year contract that said I couldn't re-publish my book with anyone else or even self-publish the book for 5 years. Shortly after my book was published the Publishing company was sold and went bankrupt within a year. I would highly recommend being extremely careful with contracts. This time I am self-publishing by 2nd book.
Book Launch Team
Hey all, I’m putting together a Book Launch Team for my upcoming Children's Book, Miko: A Recipe for Courage, and I'm excited to see if anyone is interested in joining. If you're interested, you’ll get a free e-book once the book launches as well as an entry to win a physical copy of the book. (Entries are limited to the United States due to shipping costs) All I ask is that you read the book, leave an honest review around launch, and help spread the word if it resonates with you. Click the link below if you're interested! https://forms.gle/PkUvsKhgJan1wZzt6
