Order of Publishing: Step Sequence (and Printing)
( I put this into another conversation, but then realized i should just start a new thread.) I'm a little foggy on the order of possible steps to take, once my children's book is ready to publish? What am i missing, or is there a better order? These questions assume editing, illustrations, formatting and deciding on a price are all done! 1. Get ISBN (and UPC?) to include so I'm the owner, always 2. Publish on KDP 3. Set up business accounts for Instagram & Facebook for the book/s 4. Set up a Shopify store / website (it's both, right?) for selling books (direct to consumer, to bookstores, to schools, at book fairs, etc.) 5. Order books to have personal inventory (from where, exactly? Mixam? or where?) so that you can sell DTC (on Shopify and in person (see above) 6. Start promoting like crazy 7. Add in all the other stuff: Stickers, coloring pages, downloadables, etc. 8. Where does Ingram Spark fit into all this? Or does it? Wowza! Thanks for being a place I can ask all this! :)

You could set up with a Print on Demand publisher to print and ship your books,so you wouldn't have to keep and inventory of book. I know that Ingram Sparks, Amazon kdp and bookvault among other publishers offer print on demand, hope this helps.

Hi, I desperately need to get reviews for my newly self published childrens book series. Please share what you think is the best site to get ARC readers? In addition, share real life experiences and results from use of these websites.

@Jacinta Lee I used to be a Special Educarion Teacher, and taught many struggling readers with phonics, a suggestion, you could sell your stories easily as printable short stories on Teachers Pay Teachers or similar websites.

@Lisa Williams Wow, that sounds great, does the community you are involved with read many childrens books? Are there any special rules for joining or participating in the group?
Once Upon a Hollow
I would love to see some of the creations you all have published! I've been working all summer and finally published my first work in my Once Upon a Hollow Series, called Stitch in Mischief! I also published a coloring book to go with that story. This journey has been so much fun! Can we share some of our books on here and see what we've all been up to?
