GRIT
If anyone is interested in the Grit book-I’m finished and will kindly mail it to you.
Failure is part of the process
If you’re not reading Grit with us, I highly encourage you to grab a copy or listen to the audiobook. šŸŽ§šŸ“– A part of the book this morning reminded me of something powerful: Failure is normal. Mistakes are normal. Yet from a young age, many of us are conditioned to feel shame or guilt when we mess up. That conditioning teaches us to AVOID trying new things… because at our core, we want to be accepted. But growth doesn’t live in avoidance. It lives in courage. So here’s my challenge for you this week: Pick ONE thing that makes you nervous and do it. It could be: - Posting or interacting more in this group - Trying a new workout class - Going to lunch by yourself - Signing up for that class to learn a new language - Having a hard conversation Anything BIG or SMALL. I’ve evolved into someone who understands that failure isn’t fatal… but regret can last a lifetime. I still get nervous.I still feel fear.I still worry. But I also still show up and try. How can we expect ourselves to be experts at something we’ve never even attempted? That kind of pressure isn’t fair — and it’s not how growth works. This week, let’s choose courage over comfort. šŸ’› BIG DAY TODAY OF GIVEAWAYS, congrats to ALL our winners!!! - @Tanner Pruett , @Katie Blankenship & @Tacia Miller for being our Super Bowl gift card winners! and @Katie Blankenship for being our BIG winner of the $100 gift card drawing we did as no one had selected the square where the final score ended up! - Our weekly winners for our Not More of The Same Challenge (weeks 1 - 4) , not for their scale movement, not for being perfect but for their consistency of showing up! @Sarah Finney @Katherine Staines @Erin Sprando @Shelia Bolick @Christina Lynch @Becca Martel @Krista Vega @Lisa Browning

Back at 75 Hard
Super Bowl Sunday ended up being a free day. I enjoyed a couple beers and fun foods I decided didn’t fit my diet for 75 Hard. Monday I jumped right back into it though and I am now on day 8 of my second attempt at 75 Hard. ā˜€ļø The weather has been so much kinder to me so far. Wisconsin is now setting record highs instead of record lows! šŸ™ŒšŸ¼ Drinking the gallon of water still continues to be where I struggle the most. Even the days I go to the gym and have 40oz done before 8am. I’m going to work on setting some time goals throughout the day so I push myself to drink more earlier in the day. The end of the day chug of sometimes over 40oz is just not it for me. Some things going on in my personal life have been throwing me some curve balls. But I’m powering through and checking the boxes, even if it’s in a different timeline than I would like. So proud of @Ashlynn Dohman , @Shelia Bolick & @Amitha Gona for continuing on through their own challenges! It’s been great to have them to lean on and share with.

You’re doing great! I’m back at day 1…because apparently I can’t be left alone with a beer in front of me without grabbing it and chugging it down

WINS
Small, big, anything! We want to celebrate YOU! Then tag a friend here so we get the comment section bombarded!!! I almost went back to bed this morning…. Charlie was up until 10 PM I should be sleeping by 9 PM I got out of bed got dressed straight away read four pages of devotional, then rested my eyes for five minutes. Contemplated getting back into bed, but then treated myself to a half a scoop of cafĆ© latte of protein, coffee, and finish reading! Just wrapped up 10 miles on the treadmill feeling very proud of myself. I’m no different than you. It’s easy to see this and think oh it must be nice to be a morning person. It’s not it’s a choice. If I want to be able to shave off 20 to 30 minutes from my Hyrox time, I must stick to the plan not how I’m feeling. I’m also training for a 50 K that I’ve completed before and also trying to shave off 35 minutes! Excited to celebrate your wins in the comment section! Thrive>Survive
