Day 1 Identity
Day 1 I have a bookshelf of books on ADHD, Neurodivergent brains, and changing your life. None of those books gave me this message from Day 1. "FOR REAL CHANGE TO HAPPEN YOU HAVE TO START AT THE IDENTITY LEVEL" I'm not sure how to do that but I am eager to learn.

@Durita Kirke and freeing!!
How old?
Just wondering how old people were when they discovered they had ADHD. I am 58 and I have found out more about myself and why I feel the way I do which is an eye opener. I think my dad may also have ADHD and he is 87. I don’t know if it’s something that he would be interested in but he does have some of the “traits” I just wondered if there are people older than 87 who have just discovered themselves.

@Linda Trup I didn't think I could keep teaching. I hated going to work everybday. When I got on meds I once again loved my job. I think we have compensated and worn masks so long, we run out of energy to continue. I wanted to just cry at work every day. Felt like I was going to throw up when I had to leave for work. Teaching has so many layers and so much paperwork I felt like my brain was going to explode. Honestly the first 10 years on meds they made me feel capable. One doctor told me people with ADHD use as much energy just to get up, get organized and get to work on time as neurotypical people use in their entire 16-18 hour day.

@Julie Greenan This makes me sad but you are not alone I don't think doctors listen closely enough to women to hear the difference between depression and ADHD. Hearing your story makes me realize how fortunate I was to have a doctor who listened.

⚠️ Important: Day 2 and every day after will be on Zoom
Hey everyone, first of all, thank you for the energy yesterday. Despite the technical hiccups, we made the most of it, and I'm genuinely grateful for every single one of you who showed up. Over 300 of you were actively chatting in the webinar, which is honestly amazing (and probably part of why Skool's live broke 😅). What's changing: From Day 2 onwards, all live calls will run on Zoom instead of Skool. What's NOT changing: Everything else stays right here. The community, the classroom, the recordings all of it lives in Skool exactly like before. Only the live event itself is moving. 👉 Zoom link (same for every day): https://us06web.zoom.us/j/85644318631 Save this one. It works for the entire challenge. ⚠️ One thing to check: I've already updated the calendar here in Skool, but if you added the event to your personal calendar earlier, it'll still point to the old Skool link. Please replace it with the Zoom link above so you don't end up in the wrong place. See you on Zoom for Day 2, it's a powerful one. 💛

Oh no I don't have my laptop. I always zoom on my phone. Is there a work around????UPDATE I WAS ABLE TO GET IT ON MY PHONE. I already had the zoom app and it had been used. Maybe that's why
@Nancy Grosso I always zoom on my phone. I don't have my laptop. I hope there is a workaround. UPDATE I WAS ABLE TO GET IT ON MY PHONE!! But that may be because the zoom app is already established and well used on my phone.
Long time ADHDer
Looking forward to learning more. I was diagnosed 32 years ago. I was ready to quit teaching because I could no longer compensate. Diagnosis was a relief and started me on a path of learning. Then retirement happened. I thought life would be easier. Nope 10x harder without external demands getting me out of bed. So I'm here to learn and relearn.

Retired teacher who thought ADHD would get better when I retired. Boy was I wrong. It is 10x worse!
