lofting a flat and curve surface problem

Loft function is not working.
In the photo and video, you all will see that I tried to loft these two edges with multiple distances.But it is not taking my g1 continuity on both side.But in the course it is working.Any possible solution?I have attached the save file also.

Bridge Curve problem
Hello, I wanted to bridge two curves, but when I press bridge edge or vertex option, it doesnt show anything and I m stuck at this point. Can someone help me with this?

@Ron Adams Thanks for ur time.Well I was selecting two edges and pressing " Bridge vertex" command...Somehow it worked for Nikita Kapustin..But for me, I needed to select the vertex from the edges.After seeing ur video, it was clear .
