Blackberries
I want to put in some blackberries this spring. Anyone have a recommendation between the different types for north Texas? And a suggestion on reliable place to get them?

@Cameron Grant And they're pretty productive? It sounds like the ones with thorns grow more berries

@Vanessa Lowe I ended up buying these https://www.gurneys.com/products/black_magicblackberry They were cheaper when I ordered them a couple months ago. Approximately 8 inches tall at the moment, so... well contained so far
Can you guess what this is? 👀
I found this while out in the garden today! I'll give you a hint... it belongs to a friend of the garden 😉

My Herb Garden, before...
So, I'm venturing outside...I was out today doing a few little chores and decided tomorrow, I'm taking my little stool outside so I can "futz" around while I clean it out. The huge trunks on the right? That's what my basil plant turned into. And all the ground cover is mint. I love having mint in the garden, but boy takes over when not controlled. I really only use it in tea, but it smells so good in the garden. "After" pictures tomorrow when I finish. Night! Night! everyone!

@Kimberly Ward Yes to chocolate mint. Sooooo much chocolate mint. Unintentionally everywhere

@Kimberly Ward Probably, but... the timing is awful 🙁 My exasperation about having so much was that I had just spent a chunk of time digging it up to reclaim a bed it had overgrown. I now just have a little patch of it assuming it will spread again. Give it a little time to get going again and I'd be happy to do so
