FRAME LAUNCH: Re-enabling Global and Domestic Pricing Glitch
Hey guys, Unfortunately, an internal Etsy update over the weekend caused a number of Etsy applications to break. Sadly, ours was partially included in this. We are in contact with Etsy developers and have been working hard to get this fixed for you! For those unaware, this Etsy bug means that some people are struggling to re-enable global and domestic pricing after adding frames to their listings. For those who haven't already added frames - we have added a fix into our software going forward so please do use it to add frames if you haven't already! This is relevant for those who have recently added frame variations to their listings and had trouble re-enabling global and domestic pricing afterwards. We are in touch with Etsy about fixing this properly, as unfortunately the issue is on their end, but in the meantime we have some solutions. We have come up with 2 solutions you can use right now to circumvent this problem. For members of our community who used the tool before the weekend update - we are seeing them sell lots of frames! So adding frames to your store is a big win and something you should do today. For those who have not added frames to their listings yet and are confused about this post - please add them! We have modified the tool so that it now circumvents the issue and will work as intended. Both solutions can be followed with the youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bkqdtZyWiI Solution 1: Use shipping profiles to add additional cost. Instead of using global and domestic pricing, we can alter the cost of shipping based on the country. So, easy as adding £2 extra to USA, and then £4 to Canada and all EU countries for example. This essentially replaces G&D through shipping profiles. Etsy also recently made a change where shipping is no longer as obviously displayed as a separate cost, which makes this a pretty good fix. This is the easiest fix for now until Etsy gets back to us Solution 2:

Thanks for this, method 2 for me (giving up A0 isn't a problem!) and frames now live on all my listings!
Help with updating prices
I’m trying to use Etsy’s domestic / global pricing tool to increase prices for US buyers across my listings, but I keep getting the error “Invalid edit attempted” on a large number of them when bulk editing. Would really appreciate any advice before I go through hundreds manually 😅 Followed the amazing video tutorial. But it's not working how the video is showing! Etsy support are being utterly useless.

I'm also getting this error today on the five test listings I'm doing following the frame update video guide. Hopefully it is just a temporary thing...

Just to add a bit more info on this, I did the first step of enabling the frames with the bulk SKU update tool. That worked well and I did it on all my listings. I then did the second stage with the frame updates on just 5. On those 5 I always get the error when bulk updating. I tested out doing the bulk update to add global and domestic back on to one of the others and that worked fine, but I'm not going to update all of my listings as it needs to be off to complete the frame update. Also weirdly in my listings manager I can see global and domestic prices on those listings that work, but in the listing itself it's off...
FRAMES ARE LIVE - Everything You Need to Know!
Hey guys, Happy Thursday! We are thrilled to announce that we have FINALLY launched framed prints on PrintShrimp!! Those of you that have been around for a while honestly have probably given up hope, but I promise we have been working so hard behind the scenes to get these live 😆 Frames are available in 3 finishes (Oak, Black and White). All frames arrive ready to hang. Please view the attached pdfs for images and more details. So, what do you need to do? Obviously, frames don't automatically appear for sale on your Etsy shop. Before you start panicking about how much it will be to add frames to all of your listings - don't worry! We have built a couple of tools that allow you to add frames to all of your listings (and yes you can use them for free) These will create your listings so they are set up with variation options for Print Only Black Frame Oak Frame White Frame Attached is a screenshot of what your listings will look like after adding them with the tool Head to your portal and click on the new tab 'Frame Launch' Please please please watch the YouTube videos (and pay attention lol) that go through how to add frames to your shops. It's a simple process but there are a few things you need to do to add frames, and the videos explain it all to you very clearly. The two main things you need to do are: Edit your listings to have one SKU: For us to edit your listings and add frames, we need all of your listings to have one SKU per product. We have built a tool that will identify where your listings differ and clean them up for you. You will need to do this as step 1 if your products have multiple SKUs (i.e. an SKU for each size variation) Actually edit your listings to add framed variations: This is where the magic happens. You need to do a few things such as disable global and domestic pricing, so please watch the videos that details all of this. We have our recommended pricing built into the software that will apply to all of your listings, for frames and print only. This includes some modifications to print only recommended pricing we had before (which means higher profits for you guys compared to before). I have attached a guide with the new recommended pricing below! Here you can get a snapshot of the expected profits from selling frames! This is based on UK prices and accounts for UK VAT when charged and Etsy fees.

@Katy Hampson if you've used the same listing description (or that same text about being unframed) in multiple descriptions, you can use the "find and replace" in Etsy Shop Manager. No other tool needed. On your listings page, select them all using the checkbox. It will ask if you want all of the page or all of them. Then click editing options, edit description, and then use the find and replace option. You can paste in what the current description says and want you want it to say, and it will show you what it looks like in the listing. A little nervewracking but it works perfectly - I updated some errors in the size description of all my listings really easily.
First Sale
Hey everyone, thanks for all the great discussion on here. I'm about 2 weeks in on our journey since we got the store set up. 50 listings live so far and trying to be consistent with adding more. Focus niche is on kitchen / dining and food-based art. We got our first real (non-test) sale today which is great! I had some questions would love input on: 1. I've struggled finding a good video mockup. We use photopea for the static ones we bought and happy with those. I bought a video mockup for use on Canva and tried a few free ones and they just look rubbish - like the flat poster is pasted on top of the moving video. So we've skipped video mockups. Is there a way to get good ones without using Photoshop? Photopea doesn't support the files. 2. How do you find good topics or ideas? So far I just do things I would like, or get inspiration from what shows as being popular on certain terms. It feels like with keyword tools they still rely on me having the idea of what to search for or check. Is there a way to see what popular terms are within a niche I am missing? Would really love any feedback on the store so far too! https://www.etsy.com/shop/YummyPrintsYorkshire

@Leila Suma Thank you! Some of the poster images (usually complex illustrations) are generated in Midjourney, then upscaled creatively and then again in the Upscayl desktop app. All the design and layout is done in Canva - some of the designs don't have any AI elements, just Canva. Mockups I just bought a pack of 100 we liked from Etsy and we use Photopea to drop in the poster artwork. I picked a standard 6-7 out of the pack that I liked and just use every time - adding in all the mockups is definitely the most boring bit.
