@Ferna Majewicz The next time we are on a call, remind me to tell you 😎
Pillar 3: Emotional Composure
Your calm is your credibility. Emotional composure transforms chaos into confidence. The ability to remain poised — especially under scrutiny — Emotional intelligence communicates strength, self-trust, and emotional maturity. It’s not about suppressing emotion but channeling it with intention and grace. Executive communication is about clarity, resonance, and action. Your words, tone, and non-verbal cues must align to inspire trust and drive engagement. Listening actively, asking thoughtful questions, and conveying intent clearly are essential. Reflection: Do my words land with authority, or are they lost in over-explanation? Action Exercise: - Practice summarizing a complex idea in one clear, impactful sentence. - Record yourself and note your tone, posture, and presence.

Do my words land with authority, or are they lost in over-explanation? I feel like I can have the tendency to over-explain. However, I would ask @Brittany Jones to give me a true view on this. She has been the recipient and has seen me explain things to many others. We will see!

@Yvette Pinchback I agree that the difference in giving clarity and over-explaining can be a fine line!
Feeling safe in/with your life
I have a question that has been keeping me up at night for the last week, so I will post it here as well. I am curious: What does safety mean to you? What makes you feel safe?

Safety for me is all about my personal well-being. One factor is whether I feel cared for by others and myself, especially in my home. There were times I didn't feel cared for in my own home. This level of safety is very important to me. But secondarily, it is my physical safety. I have a plan for every type of disaster that could hit; from natural to man-made to financial and many things in between. Having a plan for anything makes me feel safer and calmer, in general!
What is Executive Presence?
Executive Presence is not confidence alone; it’s the intersection of composure, skills, clarity, and command that makes people lean in when you speak. True presence is quiet power — not performance. It’s the ability to hold tension, direct emotion, and stabilize the energy of a room simply by how you occupy it. When your inner state is aligned with your external communication, people don’t just hear you — they trust you. 🪞Reflection : Where in your life do you command attention without trying and where do you overexplain to earn it?

I feel more in command in front of a room or a group of people. I have a set purpose, I (usually) know what I am going to say, and it is comfortable for me. And even when I am thrown into speaking in front of a group with no prep, I am not nervous at all. I feel less in command when I am 1:1 with someone. In those situations, I talk too much and I don't engage the other person as much as I do in a group. I definitely know this about myself and am making purposeful changes in my approach!
📓✨ Community Feature: The Caregiver POWER Journal
Delasber Griffin Sanders There are moments in every woman’s life — whether as a leader, mother, or caregiver — when the weight of responsibility feels unbearable. @Delasber Sanders captures that tension with profound honesty in her new release, The Caregiver POWER Journal. It’s not just a journal; it’s a mirror of resilience. A guide for those who give endlessly, often forgetting their own reflection in the process. Inside, Delasber shares her POWER method — a path to reclaiming emotional strength, grace, and perspective even in the hardest seasons. Because the truth is: caregiving is leadership. influence, compassion, and endurance under pressure — the very qualities that define presence. 💫 Community Reflection Prompt Take a quiet moment and reflect on this: When have you shifted from “Why me?” to “Why not me?” What strength was revealed in that moment — and what did it teach you about your power? Share your reflections in the comments. Let’s remind each other that resilience isn’t the absence of struggle — it’s the art of rising gracefully through it. 🔗 You can explore The Caregiver POWER Journal here: Amazon link Enjoy.
