Notebook vs Sparkjob
Hi everyone ! I’m curious about when to use Spark job definitions and when to use notebooks. I know notebooks are great for interactive work and Spark jobs are good for scheduled tasks. Can you share your experiences on when you prefer one over the other and why? Any challenges you’ve faced with either method would also be helpful to know. Thanks!

Fabric Sustainability Solution
Hi everyone, Microsoft has introduced sometime ago sustainability module within the Fabric industry solution. This module is designed to assist companies in preparing their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reports, which will become mandatory for many organizations in the coming years. Has anyone in the community had the opportunity to test it out? I haven't had the chance to explore it myself, but I would love to hear any feedback or experiences you might have. Thanks! https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/industry/sustainability/sustainability-data-solutions-fabric/get-started-overview https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/industry/sustainability/sustainability-data-solutions-fabric/get-started-overview?citationMarker=43dcd9a7-70db-4a1f-b0ae-981daa162054

Fabric Studio 1.0 released 😀
Recently, Gerhard Brueckl released Fabric Studio 1.0 - it's a open-source project that allows you to manage a lot of Fabric workloads directly from VS Code - really cool! 👉🔗 Check out the release article here: https://blog.gbrueckl.at/2024/12/release-of-fabric-studio-v1-0/ There are a lot of features included (from the article): - a generic workspace browser supporting all Fabric item types and their most common API actions - a custom file system provider allowing you to modify Fabric items as if they were local - a dedicated deployment pipeline manager - an integration of the Fabric Git into VSCode source control - a VSCode Fabric notebook to run arbitrary API calls I can definitely see a future where pro devs just work in VS Code when building stuff in Fabric - what are your thoughts? Check it out and let me know!

A quick update, I tried the GIT integration this morning following the steps provided in below link. However, no options appeared in the GIT tab. Has anyone else encountered this issue ? Did I mean any preliminary steps in setting VS Code (knowing I installed VS Code for the first time this morning also...) Fabric Studio - Visual Studio Marketplace

In case someone else is having the same issues, here are the steps: From the Explorer tab : 1. Save after making the modifications. 2. Right-click on the item to publish it to Fabric. From Fabric Studio tab: 3. Right-click on the workspace, select 'Manage source control. Finally, go to the GIT tab to stage and commit.
Fabric Analyst in a Day Course Materials
For any interested I have attached a zip file containing the deck, labs and sample data for the Fabric Analyst in a Day that Microsoft ran at Fabcon Sweden in September 2024. @Will Needham if there is a better option to store the zip fiel then do let me know. The ppt can be very useful to do internal company training if required
