@Alex Pfeffer I remember purchasing a mental health course from you when you first released it years ago i think. Shortly after i purchased the 1st trailer music course, which was not long after you came out with that course. (Long time student of yours) Is the one on Skool the same one? I thought maybe you did away with that course. Just crossed my mind it may be the same course. No i dont have access to it.

Best Choir and Violin Plugin?
Hey guys I'm thinking of expanding my plugin collection. Thought about the East west choir wuth the angel and devil cover. Also the Virharmonic violin. The budget would be around those two vsts, they're in sale now for 89€ and 150€ Unless... Someone knows a much better Plugin to get? What choir and violin plugins do you use? Right now I only have Kontakt choir but it sounds very unrealistic and the session strings are difficult to deal with when I wanna make more realistic stuff. So what's your thought?

I own a couple of choir libraries from 8dio. I own eastwestsHollywood choir, but the word builder confuses me. I use Oceania a lot because it switches by between articulations in the same patch and its relatively inexpensive. I would like Chorus but like others have mentioned, pricey. Violin i use the one in eastwest Hollywood orchestra the most. The one in 8dio Anthology strings isnt too bad.
Spitfire Symphony Orchestra now in Free, Discover Version
Hi everyone, Less text - more links ☺️ Same as BBC SO, they just released SSO Free Orchestra, Discover Version. https://www.spitfireaudio.com/products/spitfire-symphony-orchestra-discover#walkthrough

I just saw this on YouTube. I was shocked at all the articulations available. BBC SO discover only has a few. Less mic positions I'm guessing then the full version. I already have Spitfire symphony orchestra full version. Very cool for people you don't want to spend the money for the full version, it is kinda pricey. I got mine on sale a while back, but still. I'll download the discover version tomorrow and see how they differ.

@Valeria Nickmann I also downloaded SSO Discover and was disappointed. I have the full version so it really doesn't really matter. Sucks that most of the articulations only have one note like you mentioned. Berlin free orchestra is much better.
Cubase 15
For those of you that like improved workflows, the new feature within Expression Maps looks really powerful. It allows now for individual articulations attack compensation, so if you are a heavy user of articulations, you don't need separate tracks with the track delay set to -50ms for example. Now the attack compensation is applicable to the individual articulations which to me seems very powerful. https://youtu.be/ak4CRBgFd8Y?si=KZPf7hKYfaFtAi1G

I also like this feature. So far, I'm a fan of Cubase 15!
🎯 Don’t Lock Yourself Into Just One Dream
I’ve noticed something interesting over the years. Most composers have this one big dream — they want to write for movies. They want to follow the path of John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and all the legends. And honestly, there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s a great goal. But what I’ve seen again and again is that by narrowing everything down to only that one dream, a lot of other doors stay closed — and sometimes those doors lead to amazing opportunities. You might get the chance to work on a video game. Or maybe you get asked to write for an ad, or a trailer album, or even start working with a media agency. Sometimes you just say yes, try it out…and suddenly you realize: “Hey, I actually love this!” It could even be something unexpected.Maybe you start going live on Twitch, just showing what you do — and people begin donating. $50 here, $100 there. That adds up. Or maybe you’re a great guitarist or singer, and people keep asking you, “How do you do that?” Then you realize, hey, maybe you could even teach this, or build a small program or community around it. The main thing is: Don’t think that taking a different path will block you from your “main” dream. It’s the opposite. Every project you do, every new connection you make, every bit of income you earn from your music — it all helps you move forward. It keeps you in the game, keeps your skills sharp, and makes life easier while you build toward that big goal. And who knows — maybe one day you realize that the “side road” you took…was actually the place where you truly belong. Stay open. Say yes more often. Just make sure you’re being treated fairly and your work is valued. But please — don’t close doors before you even see what’s behind them. 🚪🎶

I really like this post, Alex. Sadly I've been conditioned to stop having big dreams or making goals. I used to, but they all got shattered through tramatic life events. The disappointment made my mental health even worse. Part of me thinks it safer this way. Instead of making big goals im trying to make smaller goals for myself instead. Having trouble with those goals too though or even knowing what they are or should be.

@Alex Pfeffer ive decided im going to take the time to write down some very small goals I can work towards. Thanks for giving me the idea!
