Project CTS V- is one step closer.
I got a really clean 07 CTS almost don't wanna take it apart. One step closer to the end goal of a 5,3 going in.

07 CTS Single Turbo
Hello all! So things are movin and shakin. I have put a down payment on a car, hopefully if all goes there will be posts with pics next weekend. It's a 2007 Cadillac CTS. I'm gonna do the sloppy v swap. Was gonna do the gen 2 but I couldn't pass this opportunity up. Anyways looking for ideas on a single turbo setup. My buddies idea was get a forward facing log header from Australia which would put the turbo on our drivers side (Australia's passenger side) and I like that take the air box out of NA car and so on. I have questions that I will call them about but wanted opinions from you guys. I have questions about the steering linkage and accessory drive mainly. I think my main issue would be the PS pump and alternator but I'm thinking I could relocate. Thoughts?

@Ict Billet hmmm this is something to think about my concern is if I use truck spacing that bumps everything out then I have a concern of the rad and fans. Do you think that concern would be valid on the gen one CTS or do you think truck spacing would be ok??

@Ict Billet perfect when I get it in my possession and rip it all apart I will be in touch. Thank you for the suggestions.
A Week We Won't Forget
Here's a quick update on everything that's unfolded over the past week. To put it simply: it's been one of those hard stretches that suck to go through and see all the time spent, burned away in a matter of minutes. It started last Monday when the transport company that hauls and sets up our show trailer picked it up for the run to Holley LS Fest Vegas. Tuesday evening, the call came in. Our driver was on the side of the highway, panicked with flames shooting out of the trailer. He tried to fight the fire to no avail. By the time the nearest town's fire department arrived, the entire contents of the trailer had been consumed. Getting that news over the phone, hundreds of miles away and completely helpless, was gut wrenching. The aftermath was no easier. Getting the salvage off the highway was a massive and expensive undertaking. The fire burned so intensely that the leaf springs separated from the frame and the wheel wells folded over. Every one of the six tires had to be replaced before the trailer could move again. All told it took seven hours just to get it rolling. We flew out to assess what was left. Being there in person made it real for us. Seeing so many of our memories, burned to crisp was tough. All that was left, is a handful of burnt engine and supercharger cores. To add insult to injury, insurance has denied the claim. We are not giving up on that fight, but the painful reality is we cannot touch the trailer contents until a later date. The problem is we need those engines to keep functioning as a company. We use them to mockup parts, test them and take photos with. Meanwhile, LS Fest Texas is less than three weeks out, and we refuse to miss it. So we bought some locked up engine cores that we currently are prepping so we have something to show in Texas. We are very fortunate that something actually bad didn't happen, such as someone getting hurt. This is a minor setback and will be back to full strength soon again. We launched a limited edition smoke gray flag shirt for anyone who wants to some cool new gear to help us out, since we lost almost all our shirt inventory in the fire. We will keep you updated as things develop. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to offer your support. You guys are the best and it means so much for your support!!

This would be gut wrenching I hope you guys will be able to pull through. You guys are great source for the community and I'm still saying a big thanks for putting this group together. On the good side it sounds like everyone was ok. Do have any idea what caused it?
Just saying thanks
So my buddy invited me to this group last week. I was hesitant because I don't really join groups it usually devolves into something that the group is not even close to what it's supposed to be, so that's not my thing. That being said it's only been a week and reading through posts here there is SO much information it's almost overwhelming it's awesome. I asked one question about a motor mounts almost instantly the guys at ICT wanted to help/giving me actual solutions and then I had a fellow member Brian Newbert reach out to me and actually help me and provide an actual solution. Thanks Brian๐Ÿ‘ just want to say this group is refreshing if this is not allowed I apologize but I feel like it has to be said.
