What Got Done This Week? Drop Your Friday Update Below 👇
Hey PDU fam! Happy Friday. Before you close out the week, drop below real quick: ➊ What did you actually get done or practice this week? ➋ What didn't move that you wanted it to? ➌ What is one thing you want to focus on going into next week? Shoutout to everyone who showed up this week 👇 @Lucy Mireles quinceañera setup this Saturday AND flying out to Atlanta for class Thursday. That is a woman who is executing and investing in her growth at the same time. How did the navy blue and silver setup come together? And how was the class? We want to hear all of it. Everyone else, Selena, Dianne, Ruth, Tronda, Sasha, Rena, and the rest of the fam, don't go quiet on a Friday. Drop your update below so we can close the week with intention and not just let it slip by. See you Monday!

Hello everyone, ➊ Where are you starting this week in your business? Starting next week with 2 new inquiries for 2 upcoming weddings in June. Final preparations for our upcoming styled shoot in the first week of May. My goal for the following week of the April 27th is to do a test phase of the digital product that I will be selling. Also joined 2 more affiliate programs for a total of 5. I’m more than comfortable with that number because my main focus will always be my business first. ➋ What is your one big focus or goal for this week? The 2 wedding invoices have been sent out as of yesterday. This week I will be taking some much needed time off to spend time with my daughter and grandchildren. I need this time to focus on what is next for Adora Backdrops. My baby is going to Prom this week so I’m looking forward to seeing her and my granddaughter looking beautiful in their gowns. ➌ What do you need from this group to help you move faster? Thank you to you all for being supportive and inspiring, that is what this group has to offer. We all come from different paths, but have the common goal to lift each other and support each other. @Precious Stevens 🩷 Thank you for providing this safe space in RTB and strengthening us all to become the best versions of ourselves for our businesses. Have a great week to you all.

Stop Explaining Your Prices. Start Presenting Your Value.
Here's something nobody tells you When you over-explain your price, you've already lost. Clients don't need a defense. They need a presentation. There's a difference between: "It's $850 because I have to get the supplies and drive out and set up and—" And: "This package includes full installation, custom color matching, and same-day breakdown." One explains. One leads. Try This in Ask Posh: "Help me rewrite my service description so it presents value instead of justifying cost." Paste your current description, and share what it rewrote. 💬 Drop the before and after below. Let's see the glow-ups.

Sand Wax Candle Hack (Part 2) | Make Them Stable
If you watched Part 1, you already know how to stretch your sand wax… but this right here is how you make it event-ready. Adding a simple DIY sand bag gives your candles the weight they need so they don’t tip over when things get busy (and you already know how people get at events). Now you’re not just saving product, you’re creating a setup that’s stable, safe, and still looks premium. If you want more smart tips like this, comment PDU and I’ll send you the link!

Yes, I remember using the pool noodle in class. But the sand is a great idea.
STAY WITH IT....
Let me tell you something real… This right here is not just fabric. This is patience. This is repetition. This is doing it over and over again until your hands know what your mind is still learning. There are going to be days when the drapes don’t fall right. When the vision in your head doesn’t match what’s in front of you. When the client doesn’t see the value yet. When the money feels slow… and the effort feels heavy. But hear me clearly— If you stay with it… it will pay off. Every fold you perfect… Every install you push through… Every mistake you correct… You are refining your craft. You are building your eye. You are stepping into mastery. This is not just décor. This is artistry in every detail. This is a skill that can change your life—if you respect it enough to stay committed to it. So don’t rush the process. Don’t compare your chapter one to somebody else’s chapter ten. And don’t quit just because it’s not easy yet. Because one day… What feels hard now… Will become your signature. What takes hours now… Will take minutes. And what feels uncertain now… Will become your confidence. The reward? Creative freedom. Financial growth. And the power to transform spaces and lives. So keep going. Keep practicing. Keep refining. Your breakthrough is in your consistency. If you’re committed to mastering your craft and this draping business, drop “I’m staying with it” in the comments. Let’s continue grow together.

Great job, Darelle love it.
Do You Say the Price… or Dance Around It?
Real talk 👀 When a client asks what you charge, Do you say the price? Or do you: • start explaining before they even ask why • apologize for it before you say it • add "but I can work with your budget" before they've responded • suddenly forget what you normally charge That hesitation? They feel it. And it costs you bookings. 💬 Drop below: When you quote a client, do you say the price confidently, or do you still feel a little nervous about it? Be honest. This is a safe space. We're not judging, we're growing. Because booked designers don't apologize for their value. They present it.
