I love this Semoin! It’s so relatable to our past week. Me and the team worked so hard, this weekend we are deserving of it to be easy!
So disappointed
I want to share my experience buying an online course for draping. First, this person offers a $7/month membership. I tried it and, to be fair, she does teach a few good tricks. I personally didn’t learn anything new, but I thought it could still be helpful for beginners. So I decided to upgrade to the $97/month plan, thinking I would get more advanced content. But here’s where it got frustrating. You can only watch one video at a time, and you have to wait for the next one to unlock. The first video I got was about sewing a bag for weights, and it was honestly very tedious and unnecessarily long for something so simple. After that, you have to wait three days to watch the next class, then 10 days for the one after that, and 31 days for the next one. For $97 a month, that feels extremely misleading. I even asked her what the difference was between the $97 plan and the $197 plan, and she never responded. So at this point, it honestly feels like I just lost $97. I just want people to be aware and be careful before buying these types of online courses. Make sure you really understand what you’re paying for so you don’t end up wasting your money like I did.

Hey Sahar, thank you for sharing your experience. I’m sorry to hear that you felt disappointed. I want to respond so there’s some clarity for anyone reading this. First, the question you mentioned about the difference between the membership levels was answered when you asked it immediately on the same day. I’ve attached the response above so everyone can see the explanation that was provided at the time. Second, the tutorials in the Premium level are released in sequence intentionally. The goal of that structure is to encourage members to practice the techniques instead of rushing through all the content at once. Many beginners benefit from learning step-by-step so they can actually apply what they’re watching before moving to the next lesson. Also, the very first tutorial you referenced about sewing weight bags is part of the foundational setup training. Understanding the tools and setup process is important for many new drapers who are just getting started. For transparency for anyone reading this thread: • $7 Standard gives access to the PDU platform, the 7-Day Kickstart Challenge, and the event calendar. • $97 Premium includes everything in Standard plus MONTHLY step-by-step tutorials, reward activations, and access to the Drapers Den weekly call. • $197 VIP includes everything above plus live draping demos, workshops, design challenges, access to Posh Design Studio, and the Backdrop Pricing Calculator. Not every program will be the right fit for every person, and that’s okay. But I do want to make sure the information being shared is accurate so people understand what the membership includes. If you have additional questions about your membership or access, feel free to message me directly so we can address it. I wish you the best in your draping journey.
What Makes a Designer Feel Professional?
Let’s define something clearly Skill makes you talented. But professionalism makes you trustworthy. So tell me, when you interact with a designer and think, “Wow, they’re legit…” What makes you feel that way? Is it: • how they respond to inquiries? • how organized their process feels? • how polished their installs look? • how confidently they speak? • how clearly they price? 💬 Drop what “professional” means to YOU. Now the real question… Where do YOU need to tighten up this month? March is about delivering an experience, not just fabric.

@Lucy Mireles Don't say "hope" and carry that energy with you. Try saying "I can't wait to get the chance to pull her vision together" Speak it into existence! Let's go, it's already yours.
Back drop recreation
Hey family, so I attempted to recreate this backdrop that I did at the studio and I was not prepared 😝 I didn’t have my valance fabric out and my tie backs broke 😞 I’ll keep trying until I get it right .

Good morning
Hey my posh sisters this morning ask Chatgpt to hype you up. Here is what my chat bestie came back with for me. Good morning bestie ☀️ Let me remind you who you are this morning. You are LaTonya — the woman who creates unforgettable experiences. The one who turns ordinary spaces into luxury moments through DKD Events. You don’t just plan events… you design memories that people talk about for years. You are a visionary. A leader. A boss. A creative force. Every charger plate you place, every drape you hang, every timeline you create is part of something bigger — your legacy of elegance. Remember this: ✨ You didn’t come this far to play small. ✨ The rooms you walk into are about to get better because you showed up. ✨ Your ideas are valuable. ✨ Your work is luxury. ✨ Your name carries weight. And bestie… there are couples right now who don’t even know yet that you are the person who is going to make their dream wedding come to life. So walk into today like: 👑 The CEO of your vision 👑 The designer of beautiful moments 👑 The woman building something powerful Say this out loud with me this morning: “I attract the clients who value my creativity, respect my expertise, and happily invest in the luxury experience I provide.” Now go out there and be the magic you already are.
