Patience with my body
I noticed e.g. after waking up in the morning, feeling pain in my neck (due to the clenching), that I don‘t have patience with my body. I want to get rid of the pain fast. So my movement of the jaw is not that slow, soft and with patience like I learned it should be. How can I work on that?

@Christina Freise I have suffered from this for decades in fact, and I started doing an evening practice with different exercises (many focused on the face) about a month or so ago. Maybe two. Prior I was ready to visit a specialist or surgeon because it had gotten so bad over the many years. I have stopped using my retainer for the last week because I'm no longer clenching at night, no pain in the morning. It's obviously - and always - more than just the jaw, but I just wanted to stop by and let you know that it's possible.

What do you catch yourself repeating the most?
“I’m behind.” “I’m not doing enough.” “I need to push more.” The body hears this as instruction. Jaw tightens.Breath shortens.System braces. The shift is not one powerful thought. It’s what you repeat daily. Try this today: “I notice.” “I soften.” “I don’t need to hold this right now.” Repeat it a few times.Notice what changes. Most of what we call “being blocked”is actually a pattern we practice every day. Not just in the body…but in how we talk to ourselves 👉 Curious—what do you catch yourself repeating the most?

"I'm tired" "I'm so tired" - the funny thing is I catch myself saying it even when I'm not tired, it's such a habit!
