🙌🥖🐟 Break Those Loaves & Fish...and ☝️✝️ Jesus ✝️☝️ Will 🌱🌳 Multiply Them! 🌱🌳 🐟🥖🙌
I've posted about the stories God has been calling me to share for kids, and how I want to share them as micro-drama videos for best distribution through the algorithms and so I can start sharing while they're still works in progress. Well, as I was working on dividing the first chapter of a story, it occurred to me how breaking it up into such small chunks means adding a little here and there at the beginning of a new segment so viewers know where we are in the drama. So here a little and there a little, and usually without much effort because it flowed out of what I already had, that chapter got a little longer. That alone probably didn't make it too much longer, only a minute or two; however, the way God really blew my mind was how many micro-drama installments could be made just from this first chapter: I think I counted over 50...and the story has 5 chapters! But it's not a very well known story ("The Stone Brothers and the King of the Golden River"), so I was thinking of starting with something more familiar to viewers, such as an adaptation with my good friend John Andrew Lang: "Cinderella and the Fairy Oddfather: An Offer She Can't Refuse (Or Can She?)." And as I started converting that from a narrative to a script, dividing the beginning into micro-drama segments and adding a little opening dialogue between the hosts, I realized even the first chapter of that is around 20 segments long, slightly over 20 if I remember correctly. So I'm excited to start sharing micro-drama videos what God has given of this "new" old tale about the Christian value of discernment, starting from the beginning while I keep adapting the rest of the story, as soon as I can get the right lighting set up. Meanwhile, I plan to share excerpts here and on Substack. And after that story is done, maybe it'll be time for "The Stone Brothers and the King of the Golden River"!
