Liverpool, 2027 🏃🏽‍♂️
Race bib 1555. Liverpool Half Marathon, 2025 was my 1st "big" race. I absolutely hated running but in 2025, I decided to finally try giving it a good go. My mother in-law is an avid runner and had been trying to get me to run with her since 2013. In between I found that I started to enjoy it as much as I enjoyed weight training, so I did a few events. One in Berlin, another in Qatar then the race in Liverpool. Yesterday, I decided I was gonna sign up for the 2027 edition of the Liverpool Half Marathon. Why? No dramatic reason, if I'm honest. I just love moving my body as well as challenging myself, it's what keeps me alive. Realistically, I didn't start as a runner. The Couch to 5K programme sitting in the Classroom right now is the exact one I used to go from not running at all, to finishing my first half. It's free. It works. I'm the proof, medal and all. You don't need to sign up for anything two years out. Module 1's right there today, if you want it. Let me go off and start training 😆 Any events in your foreseeable future?

@Mk Duma I know 😂 I had to pick up my puppy eyes 🥺 After some talking and long looks, both my wife and son will come with me. We take it as a spring holiday where I get one day on my own for the run 😃

Late Sunday Start 🙈
Happy Sunday everyone. So my Sunday has kicked off very late today. I would say it's for good reasons but I'll let you be the judge of that 😁 Having an English wife and son, means I become a defactor England supporter once my own country 🇿🇦 got eliminated. The game kicked off at midnight and went until 03:00 AM, so to say sleep was disrupted would be an understatement. Seeing the joy on my son's face was worth it though, so I will happily feel tired today. Did any of you catch the game?

I’m so happy that you guys are happy 😆 I did of course see the match. Me and my son was not that happy at the end, but it is now forgotten 😂 Incredible exciting match! It could go both ways. Our guys came further in the tournament than nobody could imagine and gave us excellent entertainment. I wish England all the best in the coming matches 😉
A warm welcome 🥳

Saturday Shakeup
Goodmorning beautiful people. Somehow, I managed to drag myself to a treadmill this morning (way too 🥵 for my normal morning walk) and do a short jog. I'm feeling good and ready for the day now. How's everybody kicking off their day? Drop us a pic, if you can. Doesn't need to be fitness related. Let's celebrate 🥳 ourselves for following through on the promises we made for our health!!

Started the day with omelette, then finished a three day long work with giving our dog the summer cut. That was good for everybody’s health 😆
