STRUGGLES??!!
I'm curious on what you guys struggle with wrestling wise in jiujitsu, that was the whole point of making this group was to hear your guys feedback on your struggles. so what are they? some I hear is fear of getting hurt, struggling with hesitation, struggling with setups or entries. so let me know below and I'll see if I can help!

For me the struggle is related to not having a systematic approach for set ups and entries so all my takedowns attempts have nothing to do with strategy and are purely based on clueless attempts. I also mustang say that I'm pretty assertive with my standing game and I run out of gas veri quickly or end up took down because I try takedowns without any relevant logic (e.g.: I try to execute a single leg not because my opponent has his leg uncovered but because I want to do a single leg)
Welcome to Takedown U — Introduce Yourself
Drop an intro so we can all get to know you. Answer these 5 questions: 1. What’s your name + where do you train? 2. How long have you been doing jiu-jitsu? 3. How confident do you feel with takedowns right now (1–10)? 4. What’s the biggest thing you struggle with on the feet?(stance, shots, getting sprawled on, fear of shooting, etc.) 5. What’s one takedown or skill you really want to learn? Optional:Post a training goal for the next 30 days.

Hi all! 1. Riccardo from Italy. I train at Rolling Cats with a purple belt from Proelyum Gym (the black belt is from AOJ) 2. Been doing no gi grappling only since 2023 3. I would say 4/10 since I started studying takedown and standing grappling only at the beginning and only after one year I started studying ground grappling 4. The two major points to improve for me are: 1)understanding which takedown to apply considering what is really happening and not try to force a takedown that is not there simply because I'm randomly trying to bring my opponent to the ground. 2) hand fighting especially escapes from russian tie, countering to armdrags, propers duck unders 5. Any in particular, just reach the feeling of properly know what to do. Training goal: understand how to reach the bodylock position in live grappling
