Amazing Progress
After two difficult, painful, and strenuous months of doing nothing and not studying for the SAT, I realized that the SAT was in 3 days... So I took a practice test and somehow improved by 50 points? I really gotta lock in tho..
Amazing Progress
Im Crashing Out
So… I’m kinda in my feelings about this, and idk who else to tell.I took the SAT for the first time a few months ago and got a 1040. I wasn’t super proud of it, but I told myself, “whatever, I’ll study hard and bring it up.” Bro… the opposite has happened. I’ve retaken it three times since then and every single time the score just drops. Like not even by a lot, but enough to hurt my academic ego each time. And it’s not like I’m slacking. I’ve tried EVERYTHING. Months of studying, Khan Academy, every day, Practice tests, YouTube strategies, Even a tutor. And still… nothing. It literally feels like the harder I try, the worse I do, and it’s honestly embarrassing. I see people jumping 150+ points and I’m over here fighting for my life to even keep the score I had. I’m starting to wonder if I’m doing something wrong, or if anyone else has gone through this?Like… is there some secret trick no one is telling me??? Any advice, study tips, test-day strategies literally anything would help. I’m not trying to get into Harvard or anything, I just wanna get a score of atleast 1150. If you’ve been in the same boat pls lmk… I feel like I’m sinking rn

sleep. also for me, my nerves sometimes effect my stomach. so I have a bland breakfast that morning. Also the night before try to medidiate/think through all the actions u r gonna do the next day. so ex: wake up, drink lots of water, eat breakfast, etc, all the way up to completing the test. It really helps u organize ur thoughts and make sure u have everything ready
Is it possible for me to get a 1600?
Im taking the December (6th) SAT and I'm kinda hoping to get a 1600. Here is some background info: I took 1 practice bluebook test and didn't really try on it (I answered all them as fast as I could while remaining some accuracy and didn't check over my answers). I got a 1480(690-790) on that practice. When I actually tried on a PSAT bluebook test I got a 1460(700-760) and a 1500(740-760) (Sadly on the real thing I got a 1440(680-760)...RIP). I'm also a freshman. Im completly fine on Math(Im in AP precalc). I would be disappointed without a 790-800. My struggle is English, especially Vocab. Are there any tips for the vocab? Would it be possible for me to get a 1600 with only studying like 1 hour the day before? Should I actually try to study a lot for it or should I js see where I'm at without really studying? Also, is a 1600 that rare? I feel like it would be kinda cool to get it in freshman year but I've heard that it may be impossible. (According to Google, no one has ever done it before)
Hiii!
I’m new here here and I wanna try my best to improve my PSAT score🥲
