from the house of Creed - Viking this fragrance is rather a spring/fall scent than a winter fragrance but works pretty well on colder days. longevity is just okay. maybe 5h which is quite low at this price range but i like the scent profile. smells rich and mature. Top notes are Pink Pepper, Peppermint, Bergamot, Lemon, Absinthe and Orange; middle notes are Lavender, Bulgarian Rose, Clove, Allspice, Orris Root and Jasmine; base notes are Vetiver, Cedar, White Musk and Tonka Bean.

SOTD: SWY Powerfully by Armani 25/01/2026
Hot of the shelves, the newest 2026 release from one of my personal favourite lines and the first of two flanker releases in the SWY lineup. Powerfully is designed to be the "final boss" of the collection, taking the signature DNA and injecting it with a darker, fruitier, and more tenacious profile. I was pleasantly surprised to see it, and the female release Power with You was also available, the weekend manager was telling me how she liked to layer the two, maybe I'll try that in the future, but for now, let's see if this is worth the upgrade. There are some very bold statements regarding this release. Armani markets this as having 24-hour longevity,, so does it live up to these claims. While previous versions like Intensely focused on toffee and Absolutely focused on rum, Powerfully introduces a prominent Cherry Accord that shifts the vibe from sweet baked goods to darkly seductive. The opening explodes with a juicy, tart burst of Cherry and Mandarin. Unlike a medicinal cherry, this feels like a dark maraschino or a "cherry coke" vibe. It comes across as more playful than Absolutely. As the fragrance moves into the heart, that fruitiness settles to reveal the classic SWY Lavender and Sage, but they are wrapped in a new Spicy Accord, a combination of warm cinnamon and cardamom that keeps it from becoming too floral. As you get to the dry down it's easy to see where the Powerfully name comes from. They have used a duo of Smoked Chestnut and Sugared Chestnut, paired with Vanilla Bourbon. Resulting in a deep, woody, almost incenselike sweetness that feels heavier and more "mature" than the original EDT. Initially I thought they had taken the Parfum formula and laced it with a touch of cherry. But there is actually a lot more going on here, if you take the time to enjoy the complexities of this fragrance. Whilst I hate to slate Armani's marketing dept, a 24hr fragrance this is not. I can confirm that it's borderline 10hrs on my skin so far. Perhaps If it gets on your clothes, you might achieve the 24hrs mark. Projection wise just a few sprays will fill a room for the first few hours. It leaves a dense, sweet and smokey scent trail. This is good, dare I say a great addition to an amazing line, so how does it stack up against the others? Vs. Intensely: Powerfully is less "creamy/toffee" and more dark/fruity. It feels more complex and slightly less cloying in the heat. Vs. Absolutely: Absolutely is boozier (rum); Powerfully is smokier and sweeter (cherry/chestnut). Powerfully generally wins on raw projection. Vs. The Original (EDT): There is no contest—Powerfully is significantly denser, longer-lasting, and better suited for winter. This is a loud, unapologetic cold-weather fragrance.. ideal for those cold Winter nights, outdoor dates, clubbing, and cold late-autumn days. Word of warning, this is a beast so I would recommend starting with two sprays and gently find your sweet spot. I still regard Intensely as my favourite in the line, but this sure does give it a run for its money, Armani did well with this release and now I'm really looking forward to the Spice release.

WINNER for "The Scent That Started Your Journey" Challenge 🥁🥁
Gents — this challenge was a blast! These stories have been pure gold. Funny, real, nostalgic, and honestly the kind of posts that make this community what it is. Now… for the winner 🥁🥁🥁 🏆 WINNER: @Lon Chaneyfield Lon took us straight back to 1981 — college in upstate New York, right after the disco/rock era — when he wasn’t exactly Mr. Smooth with the ladies. Then there was his buddy David: not the best-looking guy on campus, but somehow he had this magnetism Lon couldn’t explain. At first, Lon thought it was style — so he upgraded the wardrobe (serious Ferris Bueller vibes 😂). But the “it factor” still wasn’t there. Then came the moment that changed everything: On the way to a keg party, David insisted on running back to the dorm for one thing — a little white bottle. Not a clone. Not a random splash. YSL Kouros. Lon could immediately sense the power of it — bold, animalistic, unforgettable — and then watched David’s magnetism in real time at the party. The next morning, Lon made his move: with his brand-new first credit card, he hopped a bus to JCPenney and bought his first cologne for himself. And from there? The rest is basically 80s history. Lon says Kouros became tied to so many peak memories that even today, he doesn’t really wear it out… but at home? One spray and it’s instant time travel. That’s the power of scent right there. @Lon Chaneyfield — love this story! Everyone else: keep those stories coming in the feed! These are the kind of stories that make this community what it is.

The Booze Wars - SEMIFINALS : By Kilian's Angels’ Share vs. Maison Martin Margiela Jazz Club
THE BARREL By Kilian's - Angels’ Share — It's immediate gratification, cask-aged sweetness and undeniable crowd appeal. It’s the crowd-pleaser that makes you smile before you even think about it. THE BARFLY Maison Martin Margiela - Jazz Club — It's atmosphere over notes, memory over realism and the unmistakable soul of the bar! It’s the nostalgia pick that lives in the space between imagination and reality. In the semi‑finals, each battle feels like a miniature epic, two visions of what “boozy” can mean, colliding head‑on. Angels’ Share embodies cask‑aged sweetness: rich cognac, warm cinnamon, creamy tonka and praline swirl together like sipping a dessert drink by the fire. It’s hedonistic and crowd‑pleasing, a gourmand hug you can practically taste. Facing it is Jazz Club, a mood piece that trades realism for atmosphere. Its opening of rum and pink pepper gives way to tobacco, vetiver and smoky vanilla, conjuring leather chairs, dim lights and the soft scrape of a double‑bass. Angel’s Share is all about syrupy decadence and immediate gratification, while Jazz Club whispers in your ear, letting leather and smoke linger on skin for hours. When you vote here, you’re choosing between the gourmand sweetness of a brandy‑drenched dessert and the lived‑in soul of a smoky bar. Each has its die‑hard fans, and whichever one emerges, we’ll be left with a final duel worthy of this Brotherhood‑powered Booze War. Let the debates begin! WHAT SAY YOU?
