Business Owners- Here is how you get more referrals
I don't normally post about my marketing stuff here, but I wanted to throw out this resource if it is helpful to folks! I made a post about it on LI, and a lot of folks wanted a copy. Linked to this post is my full, 30+ page SOP for nurturing relationships with providers to get consistent referrals, complete with templates + calendars you can follow. Give me a comment (for some reinforcement :) ) if you download it! If you want to check out the tech I use to make this type of outreach easy for small/mid-sized local ABA companies, you can see it here-> https://www.providerspark.com/grow/

What’s Your Go To Move When Motivation Ghosts You?
Hey everyone, I’m currently starring in a one-person show called “Procrastination: The Musical”. Even ABA strategies are giving me side-eye today. So tell me, what’s your secret trick to snap out of the funks and actually be productive without bribing yourself with chocolate… or do you just go full chocolate?

I feel like “body doubling” and literally just working around someone helps me so much - with all things. If someone will just sit and hang with me while I clean the house its so much easier for me to do
One of those mornings
Skipped coffee and went straight to an energy drink. Woke up late and rushed the boys out of door to school. We made it but just barely. What is your go to morning drinks? Typically I go black coffee, but I needed some JUICE this morning

How are you managing material prep?
I've been talking to a lot of BCBAs and most professionals find themselves spending WAY more time than they want to making materials for programs like DTT. You've gotta get those stimuli and quality control is hard. How you all are handing this? Some teams will have RBTs make materials but quality can be too low. Other teams will have BCBAs making the cards but that ends up taking too much time that could be better spent elsewhere. Some teams will even have a full time person who just makes materials! I've been working on a DTT app that has all the materials needed for common assessments and programming to remove the need to prep in the first place(www.firstworkapp.com/curriculum) Hope it's helpful, especially for teams who haven't found a process that really works for them.

Question for you Patrick- we’ve all seen how well apps can draw in a child’s attention and I think the benefits of learning apps is boundless but what I do question is how well learning on apps (like very simple DTI programs LR or tact common items) generalizes to non electronic stimuli. Particularly I wonder (and yes this isn’t the *most* behavior analytic) if a learner is first introduced to stimuli electronically does it make it harder for them to attend to stimuli that isn’t electronic and as exciting?
Lets talk AI
I’ve been reading about how artificial intelligence is starting to play a role in our ABA work especially in documentation, scheduling, data analysis and workflow efficiency. Rather than debating whether AI is “good or bad” I’d love to open it up as a discussion topic Are you currently using AI tools in your practice? If yes what is working well? If no what’s holding you back? What potential do you see for AI in our field and what concerns do you have? No right or wrong answers just a chance to learn from each other.

I won’t lie. I use AI quite a bit to help polish emails and texts; especially when I’m feeling agitated about a situation and don’t want it to show.

@Matt Harrington yeah it’s nice to just word vomit and have AI tune it into sense
