Quelling concerns about RP in fall
I spoke to Joey at Westinghouse today about doing the week of testing and he said that they may end up starting early in June because they have a lot of people in the queue this year. So they’re potentially doing June, July, and August. I asked him if it was going to be hard to place that many people in the fall if they all passed and were jr RP at the same time and he said that they usually have a 50-75 person attrition rate due to the RPs taking permanent positions either with the plants they’re working at or with the Department of Energy, so he wasn’t worried at all. This was something that I’ve been worried about so just thought I’d share in case anyone else was feeling the same as me.

Would we need to travel somewhere to take the test? And if so, where? I'd like to get my ducks in a row while I'm studying so I can know the details, or is that something I'd need to bring up with a recruiter?

@Adam Steinmann thank you so much!
FUN1
I've done the flashcards listed under the FUN1 quizlet for just the first set. The first time I took the first set of cards, I got like 68% correct. This time, I got 78%. That was just relying on what I remember of my high school chemistry. Would this foundation and being able to "regurgitate" the material be helpful?

@Michael Williams I'm going unit by unit on the flashcards trying to get 100 on each a suitable number of times. I'm also googling stuff for core understanding. But, we will get instruction time before the real test, right?

@Tom Wallis I've been looking up what the key phrases are and the variables and constants in the equations as well as drawing on my high school chemistry, plus what I've picked up from reading about nuclear power, and having been a scout.

Unemployment
When I apply for unemployment, am I understanding correctly that I take the benefit in my home state?

I am from Utah and I love the idea of working with nuclear power. It is such an awesome and fascinating place!
