I don’t know what to draw…and that is the perfect place to start.
The mind wants certainty. I believe “clarity” it comes from sensation and movement. And when we use a template, it works. Why? Because all the decision making is already made. Intuitive art asks something different of us. PRESENCE instead of outcome. Let it emerge to find you. Instead of asking what do I want to draw (since this makes us feel like we have to pick an image) If this feels like a way you want to begin the new year, slow, honest and connected. There is a simple Soul Art Practice below. @Anamika Ajeesh @Georgia Gomme @Ingmar Mareen (voted for an expressive art prompt) @Dylan Johnson @Bente Grytøyr @Melody Johnson (voted for an intuitive practice) @Natasha Fernandez asked me directly on how to start a drawing - this is only one of the many ways. I hope you enjoy it.

Love this! It's a freaking sweet reminder that I can draw whenever, with intention, and with layers, until it's time to move on!
Introducing me
I suddenly realized that I hadn't introduced myself properly in this group. I am Bente a woman in my mid 40th with a husband, three "kids" aged 19,19 and 12 and a black cat. We live close to Bergen, on the western coast of Norway. I have had increasingly health issues over the last couple of year. I have learned the importance of walking the path towards finding my true self and the value of me being just me. I have been in this community for a couple of weeks and love the warmth, caring and wisdom that @Jenny Landis is sharing in this group 🥰

Introduction♡
Hello everyone. It's nice to make your acquaintances. My name is Julisha and I enjoy reading, writing and watching true crime documentaries. I joined this community to connect with like-minded individuals and because @Jenny Landis has been super supportive, kind and of great assistance ever since I have first interacted with her.

Welcome @Julisha Henson it's a great place to be, so glad you stopped by. What kind of writing do you like to do?

@Julisha Henson that's awesome. Great for mental health. I like to end my nightly journaling with a swift reflection: 3 wins, 2 lessons, and 1 intention for the following day
SoulArt Gallery of 2025
Today I want to pause and honour you. This collection holds the art created, shared, and bravely offered by our community throughout 2025. Each piece carries more than colour or form It carries presence, process, emotion, and truth. Some of this art was made in moments of clarity. Some in moments of uncertainty. Some as play. Some as release. All of it mattered. Thank you for trusting this space with your expressions. Thank you for showing up as you are unfinished, curious, tender and bold. Your willingness to create out loud is what makes SoulArt feel alive, safe, and deeply human. This isn’t just a showcase, it is a reminder of what’s possible when creativity is met with gentleness and belonging. I’m so grateful to walk alongside you. May you take a moment to witness yourself—and each other—through this shared body of work. 💛 ✨ As we move into what’s next… What kind of energy, feeling, or intention do you want your SOULART to carry into the coming season? Share below. With so much appreciation, Jenny ✨

This Week’s Win: Showing Up Gently
Yesterday I created something slightly outside my comfort zone a short voice-over a couple paintings. As @Dylan Johnson noted there is no perfect camera angle since that was what I was fussing about. It was about honesty. I haven’t been painting much lately, and instead of judging that, I chose honour it. My real win? Committing to return to daily creative practice…gently. Honest moment: I have a show at the library for the month of January and I have been putting it off making anything new. That’s what prompted this reminder that event 15 minutes count (that is 1% of your day) 💭 Soft reflection: Where could you show up just a little braver this week? Small steps still bring us home. 💛 @Natasha Fernandez your first live was inspiring that you have made such strong connections with people in your community @Colton Jackson thank you for your support and showing up bravery everyday asking for you need @Ingmar Mareen I have been deliberately softening and it sure has feel wonderful @Bente Grytøyr You really witnessed me, I appreciate that more than you know @Justin Yip thanks for asking about my art, it is so nice to have people ant to see it
