C64 & Christmas
With Christmas fast approaching what memories do you have of your 64 and Christmas. Did you receive your 64 or games as a Christmas present? I had my 64 as my main present in 1984. I remember getting Little Computer People, Koronis Rift & Scarabaeus the following Christmas and Labyrinth the Christmas after that. I always looked forward to the Christmas issue of Zzap64. And who can forget the Commodore Christmas demo! To me Christmas and the 64 have always gone hand in hand.

Got mine for the same Christmas along with a set of 64 Supersoft games. Xerons was the first game I played. Fingers crossed there'll be a new C64 under my tree this Christmas.
The dark side
So we have all got C64's of one description or another but who has any other type of computer.. I have 3 x BBC b's and the New "The Spectrum". What have you got.....

I have the Sinclair ZX Spectrum Next, Mega65, C64, ZX Spectrum+, ZX Spectrum +2A and I'm waiting for delivery of the new C64U and a Commander X16. Think there's an Acorn Electron in the loft too. Then there's my Linux self built PC, my laptop running Haiku OS. A Raspberry Pi 400 running RISC OS and a Pi 500 running Amikit. Think that about covers it all 😁

@Jason Abbott Would love a Vectrex. Don't fancy the mini though, too small.
Great New Game
Zezito in the Glittering Caves is a fantastic new game in memory of Jason Kelk of Cosine fame. It's like a cross between Manic Miner and Miner 2049er / Bounty Bob. Collect the diamonds, pick up the paint and roller to colour in the land then escape before time runs out. Great graphics, awesome music and amazing gameplay. I'm hooked! https://iapetus2019.itch.io/zezito-in-the-glittering-caves

Fun time guys
I had a scammer phone me the other day saying that my computer had a virus. So I told the person I only use a C64. He said press this key to get on the internet, I said what key..? And told him again I used a C64 only. I can't repeat what we final told me to do, but he tried everything to try and access my C64. Strange it is not on the internet... Has anybody else done the same and wound one of these Scammers up with old tech.

Yep, pretty much the same. I told him I need to boot the computer and he said he'd wait. 1 second later I said it's ready. He commented on the speed then asked what was on the screen. COMMODORE 64 BASIC V2 64K RAM SYSTEM 38911 BASIC BYTES FREE. He hung up.
C64 compilations
Which were your favourites 64 game compilations? Of the few I bought mine were: Magnificent 7 by Ocean: Head Over Heals Cobra Short Circuit Frankie Goes To Hollywood Arkanoid Wizball The Great Escape Yie Ar Kung Fu Star Games by Gremlin The Way of the Tiger Barry McGuigan World Champ Boxing Beach Head II Rescue on Fractalus 6 Pak by Elite Scooby Doo Fighting Warrior 1942 Antiriad Jet Set Willy II Split Personalities Duet Compilations were a great chance before the days of downloads to play games you might have missed out on. I only got to play Wizball and Rescue on Fractalus because of these compilations.
