C64 & Christmas
With Christmas fast approaching what memories do you have of your 64 and Christmas. Did you receive your 64 or games as a Christmas present? I had my 64 as my main present in 1984. I remember getting Little Computer People, Koronis Rift & Scarabaeus the following Christmas and Labyrinth the Christmas after that. I always looked forward to the Christmas issue of Zzap64. And who can forget the Commodore Christmas demo! To me Christmas and the 64 have always gone hand in hand.

My birthday is right near Christmas (22nd), so I got my very first C64 for both. I got the International Footy game and the tape recorder. Nothing else, eventually go the 803 printer and a 5 1/4" disk drive. Did loads with me original setup. Sold it when I was younger, came back into the C64 a few years later and had 1 or 3 years later. Started collecting carts and gadgets for the beloved C64, which I still have.
The dark side
So we have all got C64's of one description or another but who has any other type of computer.. I have 3 x BBC b's and the New "The Spectrum". What have you got.....

Nice to see that the old computers are still amongst us all. I also have a few PC's /laptops and now a couple of Raspberry PI's. Never liked consoles, always liked a computer that can play games but also has a keyboard to use.
Fun time guys
I had a scammer phone me the other day saying that my computer had a virus. So I told the person I only use a C64. He said press this key to get on the internet, I said what key..? And told him again I used a C64 only. I can't repeat what we final told me to do, but he tried everything to try and access my C64. Strange it is not on the internet... Has anybody else done the same and wound one of these Scammers up with old tech.
Power Cart
Anybody use the Power Card. I can't find a way to save to an SD Cart. Just freezes up or hangs. I replace with another cart my SD drives re- appear. Jus that the renumbering for programming is very handy on the Power Cart. Any suggestions...

C64 floppy disks
Hey guys, question for you all still using floppies. I switched over to the Pi-zero to use to load games and I've always said it's a good compromise allowing you to use the original C64 but without the loading problems. Having said that.... my 1541-ii drive sitting in the cupboard gathering dust which I thought was a shame so dug it out and all working good, but if you use the wrong disk it deposits a load of crap onto the heads so I was wondering whether you guys have a supplier of new disks that are reliable as I would love to transfer some of my favourite games to actual disk and use it again. Tried cleaning a few but let's say that didn't go too well. Had a look on Ebay and Amazon but some of the prices that used disks are going for...😱 think I'd rather invest the money in another Pi which has an hdmi out so i don't need to use the built in pi1541 loaded.... thoughts?

Just use a floppy disk for show. I save to an SD Card drive IE:- SD2iEC drive or drives, I usually have on in the user port and one in the card port. Great to switch between.
