Hey everyone — I’m Pete. I’m based in the U.S. and work as an AI Operations Integrator. My background is in turning operational chaos into clean, scalable systems. I help businesses plug AI into real workflows so it actually drives revenue instead of just sounding cool on LinkedIn. My goal:Scale ExitLoop to $150K MRR by building a tight roster of high-quality clients and creating repeatable systems that don’t depend on me being the bottleneck. Pricing AI Chat for a High-Traffic E-commerce Site (1M+ Monthly Visitors)
Hey everyone, I’d love to get your input on a pricing challenge we’re facing. We’re about to deploy an AI agent on a large e-commerce website with 1M+ monthly visitors. Based on early estimates, we expect around 5% of visitors to actively engage with the chat. The AI will handle: - Classic customer support (orders, delivery, returns, FAQs) - Product recommendations - Cross-sell & bundle suggestions - Guided shopping experiences On the backend, the system is powered by Voiceflow, and the client will be on our Voiceflow subscription, meaning we carry the full cost of credits tied directly to usage volume. So the real challenge is: How do we structure pricing so that: 1. We stay safely profitable 2. We’re protected from unexpected usage spikes 3. The pricing still feels fair and predictable for the client Appreciate any insight, especially from those already running high-volume AI systems

This is a classic agency scaling problem. Since you’re holding the bag on Voiceflow/LLM costs, you cannot do a flat monthly fee—one viral video or holiday spike will wipe out your margins. I’d recommend the "Mobile Data Plan" model: 1. Fixed Management Fee: Covers your time/updates/base software costs. 2. Usage Buckets: Prepaid tiers (e.g., 10k, 30k, 50k conversations). 3. Overage Protection: A per-conversation rate (at a 30% premium) for anything above the limit. Crucial tip: Define "Conversation" clearly (e.g., "Any interaction over 2 messages"). Also, strictly cap your max_tokens inside Voiceflow and hardcode simple queries like Order Status so you aren't burning LLM credits on simple data lookups. Stay profitable! 🚀
