ANY INSIGHT FOR TIME MANAGEMENT
Currently, one of my biggest struggles is balancing my life . I travel a lot, create social media content, train myself, and work with athletes. Since I don't have a team right now, it can be difficult managing all of those responsibilities while also working part-time. I'm in a situation where I'm trying to decide whether to continue pursuing basketball or focus more heavily on player development. The challenge is that I have opportunities in both lanes, and I genuinely believe I can build something meaningful in each. However, working on the side has been the biggest obstacle because it limits the time and energy I can dedicate to either path. I'd appreciate any advice or input from people who have been in a similar situation or have experience balancing multiple opportunities while chasing long-term goals.

@John Younger the scenarios are great I like how you broke them down my current situation is that I have 2 years of eligibility left but no school to play at after getting hurt transferring I was in community college back home but it was a Low ROI so 2nd semester I skipped and invested in mentorship for my player development brand and it was the best decision I have 1 offer but the fit is not the best recruiting is dry right now just turned 21 and trying to get a O as a smaller guard is hard 😂 but will continue to give it my all
Coach Phil Handy small ball 🏀🔥
I bought and tested out Coach Handy’s small ball today along with a game sized heavy ball for our ball handling training. The players approved! Who else has this gem?! 💎

@Paul Wackerly being able to have elite handles and ball control is a huge part of being able to pound the ball. helps you have great control; that's why I love it. Definitely a good investment. the guard whisper on INSTAGRAM has one as well i pefer
Introduction
My name is Joe Good, and I'm the owner and operator of JGB Sports Facility out in Napoleon, Ohio. I’m excited to join this group, connect with other basketball minds, and share a bit about how we’re working to elevate player development and grow the game in our area. At JGB, our philosophy is all about blending structured, high-level curriculum with data-driven training. Here is a quick look at what we are doing to build better hoopers: - Targeted Skill Labs: We've developed a specialized curriculum that starts with our Fundamentals Lab. Once players master those basics, they graduate directly into our specialized programs like the Shot Lab (where we focus heavily on our shooting "Blueprints"), the Court Commander Lab, and the Finisher's Blueprint Lab. - Data-Driven Development: We believe in tracking real progress rather than just passing the eye test. We integrate tools like Dr. Dish shooting machines and the HomeCourt app, evaluating our athletes with a strict 1–10 scoring rubric to measure mechanics, footwork, and decision-making. - Community & Competition: We are big on keeping the competitive spirit alive locally. We regularly run morning Micro-Camps, Fall, Spring and Summer 3-on-3 leagues (Snake Draft every week, players have different team and earn points based off team wins, ties and team points) , and community events like our upcoming Hoops for Lane 3-on-3 charity tournament to give players a stage to compete and give back. We are in process of organizing our own digital community on Skool for our own athletes, so I know how valuable this platform can be. I'm looking forward to learning from all of you, sharing ideas on facility operations and training, and talking hoops. Here is a link to our JGB Sports Facility. I like to share this because we want feedback from others on how we can best improve our facility as well as our programming. https://www.jgbsportsfacility.com/

@Joe Good The website it looks amazing. Definitely get on the social media wave; it's a great way to market the facility! I've got to come check it out when I'm in the area.

Securing Gym Space!
My next step for my training business is to secure a consistent gym space in my area. I live in a smaller community with not a lot of gym spaces (No YMCA's or public gyms available unfortunately). Any tips or advice on finding a space but also securing one would be much appreciated!!
