Analyzing Film before Skills Session
When preparing a skills session for high level players and you are watching film in preparation, what are the things that you coaches are looking for, specifically? Should you focus on one area or attack multiple things? Would really appreciate some insight from fellow coaches.

I try to identify 1-3 rate limiters and then attack them 1 at a time If they can't shoot, focus on that until they can Then go on from there
Constricted dribbling drills
Giving high school players motivation to play freely when they are challenged by their coaches can be hard. I gave them the freedom to freestyle but have confidence in their movement with this drill. Check it out! https://www.instagram.com/reel/DZF7gBYvbiJ/?igsh=ajZwczR4djJ0cXAz

Securing Gym Space!
My next step for my training business is to secure a consistent gym space in my area. I live in a smaller community with not a lot of gym spaces (No YMCA's or public gyms available unfortunately). Any tips or advice on finding a space but also securing one would be much appreciated!!

Churches, private schools, aau programs, etc. Reach out to everyone possible. Call every gym/place. Make connections and build relationships and you will find one before you know it
ANY INSIGHT FOR TIME MANAGEMENT
Currently, one of my biggest struggles is balancing my life . I travel a lot, create social media content, train myself, and work with athletes. Since I don't have a team right now, it can be difficult managing all of those responsibilities while also working part-time. I'm in a situation where I'm trying to decide whether to continue pursuing basketball or focus more heavily on player development. The challenge is that I have opportunities in both lanes, and I genuinely believe I can build something meaningful in each. However, working on the side has been the biggest obstacle because it limits the time and energy I can dedicate to either path. I'd appreciate any advice or input from people who have been in a similar situation or have experience balancing multiple opportunities while chasing long-term goals.

Peniel - what's good brother! I was in your exact position in the Summer of 2020. I started my basketball training business and was on-court training 45 hours a week. I was also training myself 3 hours a day with basketball and lifting. At the same time, I was interning and learning from other coaches and trainers The best part is, it is a blessing to be able to have all 3 of those options. How lucky are you! Don't beat yourself up over a made-up construct of "balance" Enjoy the crap out of this time. Do whatever your heart is telling you. You are still so young with so much time For me, pursuing a college career was a non-negotiable for multiple reasons: 1. I wanted to have 0 regrets when I'm 30 2. It gave me immense knowledge and credibility when I started my training career Hope that helps! I am confident that whichever path you take you'll be great
