Love your work Sam and the encouragement and inspiration I have taken from your you-tube how to videos. The work posted by members online is inspirational and such a creative and talented group. I am pleased to have discovered your painters hub and look forward to what 2026 might bring.. My nickname is Pete I live in Brisbane Australia I have been pencil sketching for a couple of years but only picked up the paint brushes in November last year I am a novice at all things painting but your practical help has got me started I have included three paintings from December last year based on photographs I took on a trip to spain in 2017.

I painted this using gouache, from a photo I took many years ago in Tasmania on a winter holiday. It's quite a small painting. The subject matter was a challenge. I finished it yesterday (6th Jan 2026).
