Rite of passage
Just got off my weekly apprenticeship call with @Mario Lanzarotti. We spoke on: • The rite of passage: initiation of the king • Embodiment: To be my highest, most authentic version of myself • Spending time with kings: engineering my environment • The analytical Mind -> Heart: Observing when I'm in my head, feel into it, feel the sensations, move through it • Taking responsibility for my life -> Health check in i.e. Full body checkup to see how smoking for 10 years now is affecting me • People pleasing is the opposite of free will. • My relationship to smoking weed and addiction. Shan at Genflow has done over $100 million in revenue with his agency. And an additional $9M in January last month. Working with brands like Apple, Nike, Spotify. Working with creators like Ali Abdaal, Chris Williamson, KSI. And so when Shan created an accelerator, I applied. This is their very first cohort at Genflow. They've only selected 7 agencies to join. Among applicants were agencies doing $100K+/month that didn't get through. 6 of those selected are doing $50K-$400K/month. Me? I'm averaging $12K for the last 6 months, some months more, others less. Previously, we've hit five consecutive $18K months with the Playstack business where I'm an equal partner and $16K months (twice) with my community building business (I don't have a website, all clients came from me leading with context, time and value for free - the Zenpreneur lead generation way). So why was I selected? Still trying to figure this one out... The important thing is that there's a lot of insights coming your way. First big insight from Shan. "What got you here won't get you there" is a myth. At least in the context of growing a $10,000/ month agency to an 8 figure agency. These guys have done the same end to end execution process with 250+ clients (who pay $100K-$1M/ year). I'll reframe myself Starting with their first client, it's the same execution process. Which means it's all about mastery of the same things over time. Hot outreach. Overdeliver with value. 11 star experience. Robust client communication framework. Actual results. Have they refined their systems over time? Of course. But the foundation for agencies remain the same. What Genflow has achieved is the McDonaldisation of delivering the same experience and value by focusing on the essentials • skills and service offers • culture (CEO, leadership, talent) • lead gen (hot outreach, referrals) • sales (sourcing -> qualification -> pitching -> deal -> account management) • operations (approval setups, project management, delivery squad)

Sam Ovens - Creative process
As part of Sam Ovens WeTube community - I have access to internal documents that Sam and his team use for their own businesses. In that, Sam shares his creative process to build products, agencies and masterminds. This step by step guide is more realistic and executable than all of the ivy league university (Harvard, Wharton, HEC Paris) curriculum I've previously consumed. Here it is: - Innovation begins with frustration — it’s all feeling. What sucks? Why does it suck? - How could this be fun? Ideas begin… - Narrow your scope — who is if for/not for? - Constraints breed resourcefulness and creativity - try adding some for fun - What parts can you remove? How simple can it be? - Borrow ideas from other industries - Stop looking at what others are doing, what's hot, and what people are talking about - Use your own senses and imagination - trust your ability to figure things out - Who cares what you used to say, forget your opinions and views — just fix it - Network alone isn’t enough - what’s your vision for the space? What's the value prop? - Something magnetic happens when you create something that's real/pure/from the heart - Try to find a perfect harmony/balance where you get all of the pros and none of the cons - Map out the model, map the processes, look at the numbers, and start thinking… - What “pings” are you getting from the universe? Sharpen your intuition - Imagine the future of your space? What do you see? What trends are happening? - Map your offer next to competitive offers on the strategy canvas - You’re looking for “product-market fit” - Solve your own problems, be the guinea pig, and create for yourself (if possible) - Get it right, prove it — then all you need to do is communicate what you’ve got (no spin) - Pull together all the pieces you need - if you can’t, consider collaborating with somebody - The mechanics of the offer should create demand on their own - Be playful/childlike with the process, don’t force it, your feelings are guiding you - Talk to your team every day, see what they think, and bounce ideas off of them

Just had a brilliant call with @Callum Birch. I first came across his talents on Jack Butcher's post, titled "Imagine not hiring this guy". Callum created a permissionless project for Kajabi where he reveals a $287k Monthly Recurring Revenue hole in Kajabi’s funnel. Knock knock - a call with the president of Kajabi followed. Unfortunately, Callum missed that they're only recruiting out of North America. Now, he's building funnelexhibits - where Callum will identify funnel leaks in his list of 80 dream companies. Legend.
