Well, that was FUN! 😂❤️ Todd and I sat down with @Mikael Van gogh and @Miranda Van Gogh today for Behind the Build, and I think we could have talked for another couple of hours! We talked about alignment, believing in yourself, learning to trust your own decisions, and building genuine connections with people. And then there was that ONE question I think everybody has been wondering about. 👀😂 Oh, yes. We talked about THAT, too! 🤣 I'm not giving anything away just yet! There was plenty of laughter, some really good conversation, and quite a few things I want to go back and think about. Mikael and Miranda, thank you both for spending this time with us! Have you ever been so sure about something... until you weren't? 😂 I've been thinking about how many ideas Todd and I had when we first started building Skoolology. Things we thought would work. Things we thought people would want. Things we were pretty sure we had figured out. Then we started actually building alongside people. Listening. Trying things. Watching what happened. Occasionally scratching our heads and wondering what we'd missed! Somewhere along the way, I changed my mind about something. Early on, we spent a lot of time thinking about what we needed to provide for our members. The right content, activities, resources, and experiences. Those things still matter, of course. But I started noticing that some of the most meaningful moments weren't things we'd planned at all. They were the conversations that happened because someone felt comfortable enough to ask a question. Or share something that wasn't working. Or tell another builder what they had tried Sometimes those conversations kept going without Todd or me anywhere in the middle. That made me more curious about what we were designing. Maybe we'd been spending so much time thinking about what we needed to give people that we hadn't fully appreciated what they could give each other. I still think about this quite a bit. It changes some of the questions I ask myself about what we're building. I suspect there will be plenty more things I'll change my mind about before we're through! 😂 So I'm wondering... What's something you believed about building your community that you see differently now? And what happened that made you rethink it? I'd love to hear your story. ❤️

I’ve been thinking about something others may not know this morning… First question: How many members do you currently have vs want to have? It’s important to examine where you are and the next checkpoint (not finish line because that’s constantly shifting right?) Next question: Did you know the most engaged and active communities still only have 1-10% of their members being heavily active? That means depending on how many people you have… you should see 1-10 top members consistently on the leaderboard. Which brings me to my final question… Do you use your leaderboard? Do you have perks or challenges that prompt members to want to level up and gain points? Do they KNOW about points and how to level up? 🤔🐼🌱🩵🤔🐼🌱🩵

We have an ice cream truck in our neighborhood again! I haven't seen one in years, and the first time I heard that familiar music, I couldn't help but smile. 😂 It took me right back to being a kid, hearing that music in the distance and hoping I could get outside before the truck disappeared around the corner! Funny how something so simple can bring back so many memories. ❤️ What about you? Is there a sound, smell, song, or little something that instantly takes you back to your childhood? And now I'm curious...did you have ice cream trucks where you grew up? 🍦😂

🐼I made my first content challenge video for my community and to multi-use elsewhere. Two options to help me out… - tell me if you would participate (bonus points if you actually do a video and share with us here or in your own post 😉) - I’m thinking they should post the video they make in their own post and whichever post has the most attention (likes and comments) at the end of the week wins. Does that sound good or do you have a possibly better idea? 💚🐼🏗️💚🐼🏗️💚🐼🏗️ (👇🏻The long part but gives more context 😝) As far as where I am. This is my big focus right now. Refining my high ticket offer being an engagement consultant with the option of more hands on assistance moderating and booking sales calls (even if you aren’t selling anything in that call specifically) It was probably my biggest takeaway from the last week. I’ve been building backwards by focusing on the free goodies more than the paid. So now I’m not worried about building out my courses as much as I am my about page and my daily engagement because that’s where people get to know me and what k have to offer. This way I can more spontaneously give away free things like this mini challenge and shorter one time consults when I have the space and time. 💡
