Mixing mastering feedback please
Hi just hoping to get feedback on this mix. I’m not sure if I should mention some of the aspects about it so I’ll talk about that after you can hear where it is now. Many thanks in advance

@Mailin Herbst thanks for the comments. He’s actually come a long way in his singing, but I don’t think this isn’t one of his best performances but I do think it’s a strong song lyrically.

@Mailin Herbst no worries - I was not offended at all. He has worked with a few teachers, but he’s also the type who has to figure it out himself and isn’t willing to spend time in study even though he would progress faster that way. We are both ADHD - although he is the hyperactive style and I'm more the ‘stuck in concerted effort’ type. That said, I like his lyrics a lot and we’ve had some good response to other tunes.
String library session section - what’s best?
I am going to buy a new string library and would appreciate your experience and knowledge to help me make a proper choice. I am NOT looking for a massive cinematic orchestra. More a 14-piece section for performance of string arrangements as we hear them in productions from Nashville or as they were done with Sinatra back in the days and today on albums as the wonderful new country album with Paul Carack. Hoping you are willing to share some ideas!

I'm a big Spitfire fan and have probably half a dozen libraries but it's my first stop. There are times when I use other ones as a better fit but BBC Symphony Orchestra by Spitfire is my first stop.

I voted no based on "really not liking" a genre, as opposed to not listening to it for pleasure. I don't generally listen to rap but I'd mix it because I don't actually mind some of it. If I was asked to mix a band like Cannibal Corpse or Insane Clown Posse I'd have to bow out because I really don't like that type of music.
Sync Licensing Question
Hey guys, I got an email saying it is from Spirit Music Group and a song of mine has been selected for a Netflix feature film. I first felt it was a scam however I submitted a brief questionaire which didn't ask any questions I felt could be used to scam me. Tonight I received a contract which looks legit however under one section titled "Administration Fee" it states "to secure and facilitate the guaranteed placement the artist agrees to pay a one-time, upfront, fully refundable administration fee". Is this a common practice? Unfortunately the Spirit Music Group website has no contact submission or I would ask them directly. Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this.

Was the email address from Spirit Music Group or from gmail? I get a lot of spam scams "from" businesses that are legit but the email is gmail and when the business is contacted there's no record of that person.
Headphones and glasses? Advice needed...
Hi guys, it's a simple question but until now I found no good solution. For editing I need both, but thatt's pinching, and therefore distracting. These headphones are non negotiable (fat, heavy and over-the-ears); I'd modify at least the glasses. Any experience, good idea, advice how to deal with it ... would be helpful. Thanks in advance! 🌼

For some reason I seem to just put up with the discomfort but it does cause me to take more breaks which is probably also good. Out of curiosity what ARE your monsters. I mix with DT990s and have been considering replacing them as I'm not entirely happy with them even when I use eq correction with them. As for your immediate issue, do you have an older pair of glasses that still work for you? I’m thinking taking off the arms and then using thin but stiff wire to make new arms that go over the top of your monsters
