On the road
OK, so my day job is a charter Bus Driver. It literally consumes most of my days making it hard for me to participate in this group the way that I want to however I have an iPad and I have Logic on it. I don’t have access to the plug-ins that come with this course and it makes it kinda hard to follow along because I have to find an alternative in Logic Pro, which they do give you some examples in the videos of using different plug-ins, but I want to move exactly the way they do so I know that by copycatting I’m doing it exactly right instead of using another plug-in with different functions and wondering is this the same knob as the other plug-in? Is anybody else dealing with a problem like this when you have to mix on the go.

@Tony Dee yeah cause some of the some of the functions they use is really clear cut on the plug-in and then on another plug-in. It’ll have a different name for the same button but unless you do your research, you won’t know that that’s the way it is so I was just curious is everybody taking a laptop with them or how’s it going out there for everybody else? Thanks for the info

So I had to download those plugins and do what I could with the time I had (work is always in the way) and I like the idea of matching the wave frequencies to the reference track, but even when I get the waves to look some what similar on the downloaded tracks from the course and comparing my song with a reference I picked I got the same result. the reference track sounds louder then the other mix (or Better). now I’m wondering could that have something to do with the recording, or the way that the compression was set up? I’m not sure, but I will definitely take this question to my next zoom session. I still feel good about this purchase; I’ve done so little and feel like I’m learning a lot, in time I feel like I’ll figure this engineering thing out

Another day that I genuinely don’t feel like making music and it feels like something that I have to do like a job. however, I still can’t shake this feeling that I belong in a Music world; is it just because I’ve been doing it for so long that I can’t shake this internal habit or do I have a calling? I don’t know!! just thinking out loud.
