Welcome to our 14-day Core and Posture Reset Challenge
Day 1 — Core Awareness & Posture Check Welcome to Day 1. Today is about awareness, not perfection. Before beginning the workout, take one minute to notice: • how you are standing • where you feel tension • where you feel stable • how easily you can stack ribs over hips Next: watch the video or read the PDF in the How to Improve Your Posture Lesson. Then complete today’s 20-minute session in the Classroom. Day 1 - Strength Day A: Squat/Calf Raise, Single Leg Deadlift, Row, Bridge, 90/90 Taps Afterward, comment DONE and share one thing you noticed — even something small. Small awareness shifts are the first step toward lasting posture and core strength. Ask me any questions. Let's do this thing!

Day 1 Done. This was tough for the single leg dead lift as I have osteoarthritis in my left hip. I have to do next to a wall for balance.
Hip video
The hip video is sideways, is there a way to flip this?

Puzzling out the Components of Fitness?
What are the component parts of fitness? It can be confusing to distinguish between flexibility and mobility. You might be unfamiliar with the connection between balance and core strength. Grip strength might be a new concept. As we work out, we build each of these skills step by step. They all work together to facilitate aging in motion. Flexibility This refers specifically to the ability of your muscles and connective tissue to lengthen or stretch. Younger people tend to be more flexible than older people, and women tend to be more flexible than men. Active people are more flexible. Different joints offer varying ranges of motion, enhancing flexibility. Range of Motion This considers how far a joint can move or extend. The extent of motion depends on the joint's health and the flexibility of the connected tissues. Each joint has a normal range of motion that will vary from person to person. Bone structure dictates the range of motion. Get to know your own. Injury and arthritis might further limit. Mobility Mobility is how well you move actively throughout the day. It depends on flexibility and range of motion, as well as balance, coordination, strength, and stamina. Coordination This is how well you use different parts of your body to perform a movement or action smoothly and efficiently.. Balance Balance starts on both feet. Standing tall and feeling your weight on both legs is an act of balance. Understanding where your weight is centered is key to preventing falls. If you start to step and stumble, your weight will drop forward. If you counter by pulling your weight back to the center, you may prevent the fall. Tai Chi is an excellent practice for learning to prevent falls. Walking is a balance exercise. With each step, your weight shifts from one leg to the other leg. Health.com reports, "For people over 50 years old, not being able to stand on one foot for 10 seconds was associated with a higher risk of death from all causes within the next decade, according to the study, published Tuesday in the British Journal of Sports Medicine."
