Gratuitous Fun Fridays
We need a thread for gratuitous fun: Stuff that has nothing to do with marketing, business, copy, daily emails... but that is fun for fun's sake. (Even a little bit of fun is better than none.) I'd like to kick things off with the attached (and real, not AI) photo of a beaver, which I put in an email a long time ago, apropos of nothing. If you have jokes, funny pictures, memes, ideas for "disconnected infotainment," put 'em in here. On Fridays... or really on any other days.

Can I get your advice/help? (3/∞)
Yesterday I listened to an interview with two actors. They started teaching improv classes and wanted to open a brick and mortar improv school, with I guess the goal of attracting unemployed college students or improv-curious but uncommitted middle-aged people like myself. Then, through some process that wasn't quite clear to me, they figured out that the skills they were teaching people in improv classes were actually brilliant for... Trial lawyers. Now these two actors have a successful business where they coach lawyers on opening statements and cross examination strategy and just being better storytellers and presenters in the courtroom. In the past few years, these two actors have been involved in trial settlements worth $41 million. And while they have only been getting paid an hourly wage ($200 for prep time, $300 for court time), they are starting to think of working for a share of the settlement money. I bring this up because of a post from last week, about ways to break from your circle and into another industry. I imagine, though I could be wrong, that the first step to doing this is to have an idea of the industry you want to break into. How to identify a good industry to go into? I mean, how do you specifically, based on what you've got and what you do, find some new industry or niche where the exact stuff you're doing now is worth 10x or 100x what your current audience is getting from it? How do you generalize or what those improv teachers did? I thought and thought, and thought some more. And... I don't know. And so I'd like to ask for your help. My best idea is this: * We start a new thread here in Daily Email House * Anyone who wants to participate (and there were 14 people on a poll to say they are in) writes up what they currently do, what they would like to do more of * And then the rest of us brainstorm ideas for new industries or niches where these skills or offers or products could be useful ... the idea being, we are all too close to what we do to see our opportunities well. But maybe a bit of detachment, plus the wisdom of the crowd, can come up with 10x ideas and valuable solutions. Maybe after a few rounds of this game, we can draw some general conclusions which could be useful.

This one is a hard one. Why? This never happens based on calculations it’s always a revealation. The only constant in all these stories is that you must be on a road and driving to somewhere. While driving something happens or you meet someone who say wait you know your vehicle and driver could be used to carry water and make more money than just taking people on a safari down this same road. It’s always a revelation, an ah ha moment. Michael Jackson started off in a band singing R&B and ended up being the king of Pop. @John Bejakovic started off in IT or Math and now a full time copywriter. So my advice is to help keep people on the road, keep them moving forward on their path because their trial lawyers are just down the road. There’s something that happens when you open up yourself by doing. Here’s a scripture: Proverbs 16:9 A man’s heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.

@John Bejakovic that’s part of the process to always have a plan (where you’re driving to) a strategy (which roads to take), a plan (a stop at a hotel for rest), and to always be innovating. In your example the biggest innovation for the actors was doing a brick and mortar. And one day a lawyer walked in and boom.
[Feedback/Critique Request] Royalty Ronin promo
I've been promoting Travis Sago's Royalty Ronin program casually over the past few days. By "casually" I mean it hasn't really been a very structured or thought-out promo. Rather I just started promoting Ronin with my regular daily emails as soon as the affiliate program became available... and I've been adding in sign-up bonuses as I think them up. It's time to take things up a notch, both because I haven't had a tremendous number of people sign up for this offer, even though it's a free trial, and because I want to start promoting other stuff soon, so it's time to wrap this up. To do that, I'll go back to the basics of what a promo means: 1. Deadline 2. Name/theme 3. A sexy offer Points 1 and 2 I'll figure out over the next day or so. What I'm hoping for is your help with figuring out part 3. I'm open to changing up this offer to make it more attractive. Right now, it's a free 7-day trial to Royalty Ronin, plus 3 bonuses I've thrown in for anyone who signs up for the free trial. One option to make the offer better is simply to add in 1-2 more bonuses. I'm open to doing that. I'm just not sure what those bonuses could be, and rather than pulling them out of thin air, I'd like to base them on your feedback. At the same time, it's also quite possible I've been thinking about this all wrong, and maybe bonuses aren't the issue, and maybe some other aspect of the offer is really the sticking point. To help me figure this out, I'll appreciate any feedback you have for me on the A/B/C question below that applies to you: A. If you're 100% decided against the Royalty Ronin free trial offer + my signup bonuses: What's your main objection? And in the words of Frank Bettger, anything in addition to that? (You can be honest, and you won't hurt my feelings.) B. If you're still on the the fence, what are you waiting for? I'm not trying to be snarky. I'm genuinely curious to hear what you're thinking, so I can adapt how I'm doing this promo. C. If you've signed up for Royalty Ronin, either the free trial or the actual subscription: What made you do it, as far as you can tell?

1. I can’t afford the monthly payment right now. 2. I’m feeling as if it’s being dishonest knowing that I am going to cancel in 7 days. 3. I don’t want to forget and end up paying the monthly fee of such a high amount and still don’t own anything after I cancel. 4. Do I really have the time to take advantage of the 7 days. Dive in an get some real value during the trial period. Hope this helps
Joke Writing
I’ve been binge watching YouTube videos on how to write jokes and it’s not funny. I want to add at least a smile or chuckle to my emails. Sneak um up on my reader gave them some joy. One technique I’ve learned so far which seems to be the fundamental. Is the creation of a one liner based on a fact. For example: (this is me trying to be funny so if you smile, chuckle or laugh hit like below 🥳) Did you know that an adult shark can have up to 300 teeth. Think about that the next time you go swimming. (I’ll keep practicing 😁)
Crowdsourcing help needed
I'm trying to come up with a title for a 5-day email course as an item to include for an event. Would you be willing to say which of these titles interests you the most? I won't say what the content is, because I want to get your gut reactions first. :-) Let me know which one you like best (and if you want, the one you like the least). Thank you so much!

The theme I am seeing is… Parents, who struggle with homeschooling, but want it easier, but don’t know how. So I pick No. 3 because it’s simple, and everybody and their cat is “unlocking” something these days. With a maybe a word change, for example: Curriculum confusion? Learn How to Homeschool Smarter — Not Harder. Confused Curriculums? Learn How to Homeschool Smarter — Not Harder.
