🚧 This Week’s Development Plan
Hi Climbers, here’s what we’re focusing on this week. We’re starting to work on the employee tracking feature, based on all the feedback you shared in the community over the past days. The goal is to build a system that allows businesses to involve their team in the review collection process, track performance, and create a healthy, gamified competition between employees. Thanks again for all the insights — they’ve been very helpful in shaping how we approach this feature. At the same time, we’ll also work on a reorganization of the Client Mode menu UI. The idea is to make the platform even simpler and more intuitive for local business owners by grouping all features into 3 main areas: Reputation, Visibility, and Engagement. This is purely a UI improvement, so no changes in functionality — just a cleaner structure to help clients better understand where everything is and how to use it. The goal, as always, is to make the platform as easy as possible to use for non-tech users, while keeping all the power under the hood. The Climbo Team 🚀

@Giacomo Chinellato this just came out today from Whitespark that shows Google's guidelines clearly stating that you can’t ask customers to mention specific employees in their reviews. Do you have thoughts on this or is what you're building not affected by this?
Planned Feature: Employee Tracking + Leaderboard
Hi Climbers, we are planning a new feature around employee tracking, and before building it we want to collect your feedback in detail, because we think this could become one of the most powerful ways to help local businesses generate more reviews in a natural and consistent way. The idea is this. The business owner will have a dedicated section called Employees Links, where they can add the employees who are responsible for asking customers to leave reviews. Adding an employee will be very simple: the business just inserts a photo, a name, and an alias, which can also simply be the employee’s real name or nickname. Every time an employee is added, the platform will automatically generate a dedicated review link for that employee. It will also be possible to download the related QR code. Technically, this employee link will simply be the general review link with an extra URL parameter, something like employee=alias. In this way, we will be able to track the unique visits to each employee’s review link. So if an employee asks a customer to scan their own QR code or open their own review link, the business will be able to measure how many unique visits that employee has generated. On top of this, we want to build a leaderboard, inspired by the Skool style, where the business can see the ranking of employees based on the number of unique visits to each employee’s review link. The leaderboard will be viewable for the last 7 days, the last 30 days, or all-time. This would already create an interesting use case for businesses. For example, the company could decide that, on the last day of every month, the employee with the highest number of unique visits receives a bonus in payroll, because that employee made a stronger effort to ask customers for reviews. But we want to take this feature much further. Our idea is that if, inside the text of the review, the customer mentions the alias of the employee, then that review will be automatically assigned to that employee. For example, if the review says “Luke was very kind with us”, the review will automatically be associated with the employee whose alias is “Luke”.

With the links tied to employees, will the AI suggested review automatically include that employee's name in the suggested review as well? Awesome if it does. I know the idea is to build a leaderboard but reviews with specific employee names in them are really good on Google. So that could be an added benefit.

One more thing. Can a dropdown or something get added to the AI suggested reviews with employee names that the reviewer can choose who worked with them, and that employee's name gets added to the suggested review? This would help specific instances where a reviewer leaves a review outside of an employee's link or QR code/NFC. A lot of business owners will send a general review link and not customize it for each customer based on which employee worked with them. Also some businesses who use NFC Stands will have general review links as well. Capturing the employee's names in the AI suggested reviews would help a ton and make the reviews better overall.
Menu Bar Color vs Font Color
I don't know if I'm in the minority here, but I find using any color in the menu bar, other than black, makes the rest of the dashboard ugly. I wish the font color wasn't tied to the menu bar color and you had an option to use a color and keep black font throughout dashboard. Also, would like to use a white menu bar but then you can't see most of the text, so not even sure why it's an option to use a light colored menu bar.
Business Hours on GBP
@Giacomo Chinellato Unless I missed the setting somewhere, is there a plan to allow us to use 12-hour format for hours for us in the US? I'm referring to the GBP and website sections. They're both converting the hours to 24-hour format and I don't see a setting to stop that. If I missed the setting, please let me know.

@Giacomo Chinellato Sorry, missed your response. Thanks for adding it to the plan. Can I ask one more thing? Can we have the option to choose between km and mi? I'm specifically referring to the Map Radius under Ranking & Competitors. Km is just not typically how US people look at distance (unless running a marathon for some reason).
New site is up!
Finished our conversion to 2.0. Please have a look and any feedback is appreciated! https://www.sunnypathway.com

@Giacomo Chinellato I don't see that embed button. Is that available to everyone?
