Howdy gang, About to take on my body mounts on the 86 K5, which are of course terribly shot. I’ve been looking back at old forums about rubber vs poly and seen a lot of opinions though most of what I found is at least 5 years old. I hear the argument both ways and was wondering what folks on here have done and how they like their ride over time. Thanks in advance.

Howdy gang. Finally got around to rebuilding my franken-tailgate this weekend from various donors. Truck came with a gutted gate so I wasn't sure how this would go. Got the regulator, new motor, cable, wiring and new glass channels in. To my surprise the dash control works and the regulator goes up and down. I believe the last thing I need to do before the glass goes in is get the latch/lock electric mechanism running. It has power and will go up, but the down is working. I cleaned it, which got the up side going, but down won't connect. Thinking I need a new white plastic connector piece. Anyone know how to get the old one out? I have pried with a screwdriver, pulled with pliers and about made my fingers bleed. Any help appreciated. Also, strong work on putting this together Justin. Been following your youtube a while and it inspires me to work on my rig.

I cannot get this rear power tailgate window to go all the way up. I have a little less than an inch to go. Literally everything to do with the tailgate from all the weather stripping to the glass to the slide channels and hardware is brand new, only original part is the handle and the tailgate itself. Does anyone have any experience with this issue?
