Thanks Teja. Some frustrating challenges I have faced with my job search have been to overcome the hiring persons hesitation to hire me when they see that I am an active board member of an international company, most feel this is a distraction and will take presidence over the job to which I am applying. Another is frequently getting interviewed by someone who I am positive feels threatened if I were to get hired. 9 times out of 10 I don’t get the key next interview with the actual hiring manager. Finally, many times I have been told I am over qualified, which to me feels very much like age discrimination; I’m 56. I hope to gain a lot of positive and applicable insight from what you all have to share and from Teja’s expertise in how to best navigate the challenges of THE JOB SEARCH.

I am Miguel Santo Domingo and I currently live in Wilton, CT, grew up in Greenwich, CT and lived and worked in Miami for about 20 years in between. My expertise is in manufacturing & sales of domestic cookware and most recently, aluminum extrusions sourced out of Colombia, South America. I feel I can be a great fit for a small to midsized company as a Director of Operations or General Manager collaborating on how best to run a lean and efficient business here in the Fairfield County, CT- NYC, Metro Area.

@Raymond Padron Hello Raymond, are you fluent in both English and Spanish and if so do you aggressively promote this strength or do most people assume you’re bilingual?
