Why C language?
Hello! I was just wondering why you chose the C language and not C++, C#, Java or even Python? Another point, one of the best top down games I've played and the one that made me want to start trying to develop one on my own is called "Cryofall", see for yourself, I think you'll like it too! Cheers!

Personally, I prefer C++ over C because it's object-oriented, I feel that in C we sometimes have more complications with certain aspects, which in C++ would be more straightforward and easier to understand.

A game that I think you can also base yourself on is called "Cryofall", I really enjoyed playing it, and the building system, crafting, PvP, PvE were very well done too!
