Behind the Scenes: What a Travel Biz REALLY Looks Like
People think running a travel business is just beaches, flights, and pretty photos… And honestly? Sometimes it is. But it’s also: 🌍 Helping someone plan their very first trip 📱 Answering excited DMs 💬 Storytelling ✨ Building community around travel You don’t just sell trips. You sell transformation, adventure, and memories people will talk about for years. If that’s the life you want, check out the courses in the classroom tab.

Lol there are a lot of stressful parts to running a travel business and non glamourous tasks.. but to help a client pull off the perfect trip is well worth it!! Its all about their experience than anything else. And you can feel good knowing you helped them have the experience they dreamed of!!
💭 Quick reflection from the trenches:
Something I’m noticing as I build a travel community… Most travelers don’t actually need more options. They’re overwhelmed by options. What they seem to want instead is: - fewer decisions - clearer next steps - reassurance that they’re not missing something obvious Curious if others have noticed the same thing — whether in travel, business, or just life in general. How do you see this show up?
Hey everyone
👋Just wanted to drop a little encouragement here as a fellow travel-group builder. I’m partial to travel communities (they’re my favorite kind of people 😉), and I know how quiet things can feel when a group is still small. Funny enough, my own travel group was sitting right around 21 members just last week, so I’m very much in the “early days” with you. One thing I’ve learned quickly: the magic doesn’t come from having a big group — it comes from a few people being willing to speak up first. Even simple comments, questions, or quick wins go a long way toward turning a quiet space into a connected one. So if you’ve been lurking (no judgment, we all do it 😄), consider this a low-pressure invite to: - say hello - ask one question - share one small win or challenge - or comment on someone else’s post Travel people helping travel people is how the good stuff starts. Looking forward to connecting more here — and rooting for this community to really come alive ✨✈️
I’ll be real for a second
I’ll be real for a second — I’m ADHD, and my biggest struggle hasn’t been ideas or effort… it’s been technology overwhelm. Too many tools. Too many notifications. Too many shiny rabbit holes. 🐿️ So I finally asked Chat GPT a simple question: "How do I build a system using the tools I already have so I’m actually productive?” Plot twist: I already had about 90% of what I needed. I just wasn’t using it intentionally. Now I’m locking in a simple, connected workflow built around: - Calendar (one source of truth) - Blaze Boards (daily execution & task flow) - Skool (community + content hub) - Traffic feeders: Facebook & Meetup - Travel Joy (monetization + bookings) - Google Calendar & Email (communication + reminders) Once everything was mapped together, Chat GPT estimated this system could: - Cut my Skool business management time by 75% - Reduce my workload from ~25 hours/week to under 10 - Double membership growth and profitability (with less effort, not more) Best part? I’ve been put on a very gentle but firm leash 🚦 no random tool-hopping, no “ooh shiny” detours, no rebuilding the plane mid-flight. Today is workflow setup day, and I’m honestly fired up. Big takeaway:👉 Systems beat hustle. Every time. Not posting more. Not working harder. Not adding more hours. Just building a system that actually works with your brain instead of against it.

The #1 thing that holds most new travel entrepreneurs back
...is waiting until they ‘feel ready.’ Truth: you’ll never feel ready. Action creates clarity. What’s one small step you could take today?

I find the best way to learn and to grow is to dive in. Who really feels like they are ready? Mostly No-one. Dive in, start wherever you are on your evolution and there is a wealth of information out there to develop your business and your skills!

@Natalie Snider True no matter where you start after you do it you look back and realize you didn't know anything when you started. It's all relative.. With all the information out there and even AI to guide you at the start. There really is no reason not to start. You learn as you go. As a matter of fact , I swear people will love you more if you are more,"Human" and don't know everything. They relate better to you!
