Hey guys, I passed the exam DP-700 in the second attempt. I had failed it miserably the first time six months back and had prepared a lot more this time. Along with material from other YouTubers, I also watched some by Will to get clear on some of the topics. With a month-long preparation, I managed to score 796 which I think is a decent score given the time spent for it. Yes, I passed DP-700 and also DP-600 before that but I think I still have a lot of conceptual gaps to fill in order to understand the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. It is really a great and comprehensive product by Microsoft with a lot of depth and nuances and it will definitely take long for anyone willing to master it. Lastly, I would like to mention Microsoft has been the most generous of all the big-tech companies as far as I know of , since they grant free vouchers almost every 6 months and due to that I have by now earned DP-100, AZ-204, DP-600, and DP-700 without buying a single voucher for any of them.

Preparing for the Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer certification has been nothing but an experience. The questions in the exams are entirely scenario based, requiring you to understand in depth how Microsoft analytical asses operate, together and in unison and testing your knowledge in DAX, SQL and a little bit of PySpark. I want to extend a thank you to the Skool community and to @Will Needham ’s DP:600 practice videos, it provides a lot of clarity on understanding a real world scenario. As I prepare for my DP:700, I am motivated to explore more on PySpark,SQL and KQL. I’m deeply interested in understanding how Microsoft Fabric manages real time data.
