Optimize for Clicks or Conversions?
I recently hired a white label service to begin assisting me with running my client campaigns (landscape, concrete, home service businesses) to ease my work load and one thing I noticed is that they are setting up campaigns to optimize for Clicks rather than conversions. This isn't normally how I would approach the campaign. But the question I have is should these campaigns be optimizing for clicks or conversions?

As a Google Ads expert, here are a few tips I'd like to share. You should always optimize for conversions, not clicks, especially for local service businesses. Optimizing for clicks is a flawed strategy because: - It focuses on getting cheap traffic, not paying customers. - It makes it impossible to measure your return on investment (ROI). The solution is to: 1. Set up proper conversion tracking for phone calls and form fills. 2. Switch to conversion-based bidding strategies like Target CPA or Maximize Conversions as soon as your campaigns have enough data. Your white-label service might be optimizing for clicks because it's easier, but it's not effective. You need to have a conversation with them and insist that they prioritize conversion tracking and bidding to ensure your clients get real results.
