Finally dressing with confidence
Film premiere last weekend. A few years ago dressing up this much would have felt uncomfortable but finally building the confidence

Meetings with the Bob’s
Monday and multiple meetings called for a sharp gray suit, a confident smile, and just enough pink to keep things interesting. The geometric blue tie and pink pocket square matching my new Charles Tyrwhitt pink shirt brought a little personality to the agenda, proving that even back-to-back briefings can have style. A quick wrist check of the Bulova Morning Star added that subtle “on time and on point” energy before stepping into the day. And of course, the Michael Micallef Royal Vintage cologne waited in the wings like a quiet force multiplier—steady, refined, and ready for close conversations. All in all, it was a day full of meetings handled with polish, presence, and just the right amount of flair.

Love the pink shirt against the grey suit 🔥🔥
Is the leather jacket working?
I'm not used to leather jacket so it's taking a little acclimatizing to it when I look in the mirror. 😂 The jeans have gotten a little big on me but if I sort that does this work?

Preparation for Date Night
Since I turned 29 a week or two ago, my wife has seen fit that I should take us on a date. With my new Hickey Freeman blue blazer just back from the tailor this week, I built a "night out" outfit around it for its maiden voyage. We plan to go to the new Puerto Vallarta for Mexican cuisine, so I chose a shirt that expresses a southwestern motif, and paired it with the bolo tie that I actually made myself. The pocket square is a lighter blue that picks up the faint blue in the shirt, and adds its own accents in tones of gold, green, and pink. Medium tan jeans and Justin python boots make up the base of the outfit; and the top and outer layer are finished off with a 100X pure beaver felt vintage Resistol hat, and a 100% wool double-breasted overcoat. (Overcoat is maybe just a tad formal for this occasion, but the temps are still frigid. The tail of my blazer sticks out underneath my peacoat, and with my camel colored single breasted coat, there's just too many different browns and tans at work.) I also want to add how happy I am with the new blazer and its fit. Because @Brian McGuire taught us about the proper length of jackets and button placement, I recognized this blazer as one that would fit properly. Notice how the length is sufficient to cover the entire crotch and buttocks, and the top button hits at the navel, or true waist. The sleeves could probably be a quarter of an inch shorter, but they still get a passing grade as they do not extend past my wrist bone. When worn with French cuffs or a dress shirt of fitted length, more shirt cuff would be visible, unlike a casual shirt of this variety.
